Update 2
Extended until June 30th
If you're looking to make a Coach or Train ticket booking, it could be worth including Uber in with your price comparisions/cross checking. This started as a roll out in August but now more trips are on the app but this offer ends 31st December

I've had a quick look at comparing a few and although not every deal is competitve, just like any other site/app, there's some that are plus you'll get 10% back in credits to spend on rides, travel and uber eats.

For example:

I randomly looked at splitmyfare for a trip from London Victoria to Birmingham new street, on the 3rd November, which was priced at £54.22

On the Uber app below, at the same time, both with 2 changes it comes in at £31, i know it gets in 6 mins later but a pretty big saving + 10% back, which comes to around £27.90.

Uber users who make coach or rail bookings on the Uber app will receive 10% of the cost of their booking back as Uber Credits, for use on future rides, travel bookings or Uber Eats deliveries.

Uber Apple (iOS) App is here

People moaning but works ok for me. Oddly the journey showed more (I thought it was a fee) but clicking onto it showed the same I pay at the machine when commuting home. Will try in the morning

Credits back is a nice bonus. Doubt it will stay long though.

You are not comparing the same journey there. The first arrives at 10.38 and the second trip on uber arrives at 10.44.

I know, i already said it was very smilar and get's in at 6 mins later for a pretty high saving

''On the Uber app below, at the same time, both with 2 changes it comes in at £31, i know it gets in 6 mins later but a pretty big saving + 10% back, which comes to around £27.90.''

If i can save nearly £30 for an extra 6 mins journey time, i'll take it.

    Thanks!

I wished they did anytime return tickets. I have to buy two advance tickets for some reason.

Yeah, i've not dug too deep into it, need more time, and of course, not every journey will be 'market leading'. i guess it's handy to throw into the mix when comparing across XYZ sites and apps.

been using this since it first came out...search function leaves a lot to be desired and is kinda buggy but worth the 10% back

Didn’t even know if this was a thing. Surely even if you are paying the same price you might as well get the 10% back

Currently tracking at 15% for train journeys - I'm not sure if this is an error, but I just got £2.37 back for a £15.80 train ticket I booked.

It really is a faff though to get the ticket you need at times, especially if you need to incorporate a London travelcard into your ticket. I generally pick a different destination if the station I am going to is part of the underground and also a national rail station, as otherwise it does not give me a travelcard option. (edited)

Anyone know if I can do this - book a ticket for a relative, pay using uber cash & I (not the relative named on the ticket) collect from a ticket machine? Our names are not similar. (edited)
