Seems good deal...I don't know graphics cards very well...but sub 200 for a "known number" I haven't seen in a while!

Is this better than the new one (no XT) hotukdeals.com/dea…039 (edited)

"Easy returns and 2 year warranty if you have any issues too" Wow, save that just isn't how it works at all, is it? Buy today, get it in a week or so. It's battered half to death. Go through the mind numbing efforts of getting a return sorted for it. Send it back, drive somewhere to drop it off. Then in the meantime the price drops by £50 and you get offered vouchers to the value of the lower price? That's what you sign up to with CEX. Shameful robbery in the main, given the mark-up they maintain. If you have the (even worse) misfortune for the order to be farmed out to one of their franchisees, rather than it coming directly from Watford from CEX themselves, then the norm is for them to defend their franchisee, who can be literally anybody:- and you are on a hiding to nothing from then on in. Buy from somewhere reputable and don't take a chance with so much money. If you do, ensure you pay with PayPal only. This card can be had from very little more with a bona fide 3 / 5 years' warranty from the manufacturer, so why would anyone entertain this? Once your hard earned cash goes to CEX's coffers, it is nigh-on impossible to get it back in cash. Vouchers, vouchers, vouchers...

This was my experience and I’m glad someone pointed it out. I took mine to my local store but they refused (I don’t blame them, they are usually great) as it was ‘potential damage in transit’ and took a month of arguing and PayPal disputes to get them to return it. Card was an Asrock Challenger where the shroud had gone brittle over time and the screw holes just fell to bits. Got it sorted eventually but they blacklisted my account as a result. Horrid experience. They don’t test things properly, it’s often just a visual inspection, maybe they will plug it in and see if the fans spin if lucky.

If under 6 months you usually do get a refund to original payment method, after that expect vouchers at current market CEX sell value.

Not a good deal at all

New ones are less or plus £10

I think you're confusing it with non-XT. The 6600xt are not that common now - replaced by refreshed 6650xt which recently dropped to £210 after cashback - that was a single promo. They normally sell for around 235-250.

Head over to AVForums and grab a voucher from someone selling usually around 80-85% of it's value and it'll bring it down more

I mean I won a red devil 5700xt on an eBay auction for £165 3 months ago, coming from a 1050ti I have been overjoyed it's even holding the new res4 remake at 140+ at 1440p with everything up high, same with next gen Witcher 3 on ultra+. The price was real competitive and cards were going at this price or more at the time. I looked in my local cex but they wanted silly money for pretty much anything. Seems a fair price with the warranty (edited)

    I gave CEX a go a while ago and purchased a 6800XT.

Got it home and it was artifacting at stock speed. I took a video of the artifacting and showed it to the store. They dealt with it but as folks have pointed out, vouchers.

All they did was a visual check and I'm pretty sure it when back on sale.

I'm surprised my i9-9900K is still going from CEX after reading all these reviews of GPUs
