Forced into slavery by the corrupt, incestuous heir to the throne, Roman general Maximus (Russell Crowe) becomes a gladiator. His prowess in the arena will eventually lead him to Rome, the Colosseum and a vengeful showdown with the new emperor. An Academy Award winning masterpiece, Gladiator is epic movie story-telling brought thrillingly into the 21st century by master director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien).

I was surprised seeing that new £100 pre order version in Amazon's top sellers this week.

    No joke.

I got excited when I heard the rumours of a titan of cult steelbook as it’s my favourite film. Unfortunately both editions at £50 and £100 are a joke, think I’ll just get this disk for £10 and be done with it

Love the bit when the main character is like “THIS IS SPARTA!!”

Everything about this movie is just amazing. The story, the acting, the cinematography, the soundtrack gets a near perfect 9.9 out of 10 for me. Why can't they make a movie that makes me feel what i felt while watching this anymore?

Maybe because movies have become politically focused in pushing narratives which the majority laugh at and are rightly deciding to turn their backs on the complete rubbish coming out of the studios

Good price, cool film. All standard edition 4k bluray should be £10. That would help keep the medium alive. £25 for standard edition 4k bluray on release is crazy. (edited)
