Pixel 7 128GB £499, but you get £125 bonus trade in until 31/3 and can claim Pixel Buds Pro here: promo-rewards.com/easteroffer

You can trade in any phone for £125.50 (ie 50p plus the bonus) so long as it powers on, is less than 7 years old, and doesn't have water damage. Cracked screens are fine.

**For the best price, try and get a price match from Currys. They will price match Amazon, and at the time of writing the price on Amazon for the Obsidian Black option is £473.62, so that would be £348.62 after price match from Currys and trade in**

You can price match through chat online, and they'll either give you an option to pay immediately with a custom link, or they'll give you a code for use the following day (eg if you want to pay with vouchers). The first digits of the code are a date, so you may be able to apply the previous day's date if you want to use it straight away.

You can get Currys vouchers at a discount, either through a work scheme or topcashback - topgiftcards will give you 5% cashback for Currys vouchers.

I have the Pixel Pro 7 and hate it. The UI is so backwards, I spend half my time flicking upwards trying to close stuff, no home button so you never have an easy way to go back to your main screen, apps that normally work don't on this phone. I'm glad I've kept my z3 Fold. Even nova Launcher works sooo badly on this one.

Luckily I just bought it as a camera phone, and for that it is very good. I couldn't use it as my daily phone though.. Sorry for the deal poster but please try this phone before you buy it (I've had the Pixels up until 4 and then moved back to Samung just so you know my taste)

You can turn on button based (non gesture based) control in settings. You will get back home and back and multitask.
Settings --> System --> Gestures --> System Navigation

How long does Currys take to process online trade-ins? I sent my Pixel 6 over to them via Royal Mail Special Delivery on Wednesday March 29th. The return kit was delivered to them the next day at 12:30 PM. There has been no update whatsoever from Currys on processing the trade-in - not even an acknowledgement that they have received the trade in package.

Is this how it works with them? How long does it typically take for them to process the trade in package and transfer the trade in money to do a BANCS transfer? Reaching out to their support email has been super useless .

I did the trade in online, got the funds a little over a week after they'd received the trade in pack. I got an email from them but only after receiving payment.

How do I trade in my phone to reduce the price, can't see how to do it?
    bcs1's avatar

    2 options.
    1. Take phone in store and they'll do it for you then and there.
    2. Search for trade in on the currys site, then select your phone model, phone condition, you'll get a quote and be presented with a bunch of offers, one will be the £125 bonus and that'll add £125 to your quote, which they'll pay by bank transfer. You then wait for a prepaid pack to arrive or you can generate a prepaid label using this link: royalmail.com/tra…065. You don't have to give an order number for the pixel when doing the trade in but makes sense to use the same address and email etc so they can easily match up the orders.

Went in store yesterday, but made the mistake of going to the Carphone Warehouse section to do the trade in. You have to go to the Curry's customer service desk. Traded in a Google Pixel 3 XL, and they gave me £175 gift voucher for the phone(£50 trade in + £125 extra as per the deal). Make sure that you reset your device and delete everything before going. They didn't have any in stock, so they are sending it to me. It should be arriving today. Full price: £600 phone + £180 ear buds, and they took my phone for £175 is a fantastic deal.

Pixel 3 XL - my favourite phone!

    £600 phone - did you get 256gb?

So I've a working Samsung S7 to trade...would like to do in in store as they have GOOGLE Pixel 7 - 128 GB, Obsidian in stock at my local Currys. Does the Amazon price match have to be "sold by Amazon" as I can only see it being sold on Amazon through 3rd party sellers cheapest being £459.95. If so, will currys price match in store and also take my Samsung S7 off me in store so that I get the price match PLUS £125 trade there and then so I can buy the P7 St the same time? Then I would just apply online for the earbuds?
    mikeyjai's avatar
Had to be sold by Amazon

I still haven't received the trade in bag I've just spoken to Currys and she said to me the trade in department will ring me
I find this highly unlikely, this was ascertained through the online chat.

Currys appears to have lost my trade-in phone even though it was a tracked RM delivery and signed for. Any ideas what I can do/claim?
    Jennie_WB's avatar
I don't know what the right thing to do is but I'd first be contacting customer service, then raising a complaint and then going on to the complaints website, think it's called Resolute or something like that. It's free to use and I found out about it via the MoneySavingExpert website (which was Martin Lewis's site) it's helpful in getting responses in most cases I've found.

Was able to successfully submit a claim now by trying out the claim site in incognito mode in Chrome. It got approved almost instantly and I even got an email stating the buds pro is being prepared for delivery.

Really good price, but are they still getting warm after all the software updates when for example watching YouTube and browsing internet? Last time I had it I decided to return it because it was constantly warm and not comfortable to hold, I was constantly thinking that there's something wrong with it :P
    realdeals's avatar
They still get warm despite the kernel tweaks to lower the performance and heat and increase battery life.

Was gonna buy this phone through Currys. I get offered the £125 trade in for my existing phone, however, under than it also wants me to select on of following:

£150 guaranteed trade in value or £150 Extra trade in value.

Anyone any idea what this means?
    bryanhaines399's avatar
There are various trade in offers, you need to select the £125 one for the Pixel 7. All of the £150 offers are for Samsung phones.

Edit: if you've selected the relevant £125 offer then you scroll past the £150 offers to the bottom of the page and click proceed. (edited)

    Yes

Did they replace the £175 bonus trade in with this £125 bonus?

I believe so, I'm sure I read someone else commenting on this. Unfortunately

I ordered one, got price match with amazon and did the online trade in but still don’t understand it. What ties the trade in with the order?
    mikeyjai's avatar
They'll ask your purchase proof if they can't link it up
  14. searched74_'s avatar
I can see that trade in ends tomorrow, if I buy online today, does that mean I have to take a current phone to the store to trade it in tomorrow, or will Currys send me a trade in pack that I can put a phone in and send it back to them within 14 days?
    Maaark's avatar
If you buy online, you cannot do trade-in in store. You have to do it online:-

    currys.co.uk/services/ways-to-pay/trade-in.html?searchTerm=Trade%20in

Follow the steps, and keep going through, selecting the £125 bonus on either Google pixel 7 or the pro (depending on which phone you bought), and finally entering all the details for them to send pack etc. Then they send pack and you have 14 days to get your phone to them. (Kind of not linked to your online order when you do it - they search for eligible purchases when they receive trade-in and link the two things together at that point.)

Trade-in part must be done by tomorrow. If you want to trade-in in store, then you must purchase at the same time in store. (edited)

I have another question about the trade in. The phone I found keeps rebooting but will turn on fine and works when on charge. Will they accept this? I think it just needs a new battery but it's in mint condition otherwise, no damage or cracks.
    Professor_Chaos's avatar
    Just send it in
     you’ll be fine
  16. searched74_'s avatar
Got my trade in pack, it says quote in price valid for 14 days, does that mean that my phone needs to reach them within 14 days or just that I need to send it to them within 14 days (and it may reach them on the 16th day for example)?
    Jennie_WB's avatar
I'd contact them via the website chat option as they seemed to be very knowledgable and a damn sight better than their phoned customer service line!
And I'd send it back signed for postage then you have evidence you did things right on your end.

One of my claims was put in on the 11th of April
I haven't had any notification in regard to the buds
How long did people wait for their buds after having the claim accepted

I claimed on 5th as did many others. Approval was instant and most who claimed on the 5th should have received theirs this week

I went to my local store and the chap was pleasant and did all of the above, traded in a Samsung Galaxy Ace (android 2.3) for £2+£125 extra trade in + £35 for Price match on Amazon's price of £464.
Total for Pixel 7=£337. I'm chuffed at that price.
    Jennie_WB's avatar
Got mine for £350 then an additional £31 (price matched to £468 yesterday) also really pleased! I've just seen reports of the 7a which is due to be released in the summer. They don't yet have a starting price but those who are in the know suggest it's going to be around £450! The 7a was always going to be a lesser version of the 7, seems the 7a is really overpriced compared to this!

Black is now £462.12 on Amazon so the price match will give a better discount

I've tested this with Currys webchat, and they price matched with no issue.

Went to Currys with my friend's 10 year old smartphone. Failed IMEI check with mobile department, but was fine with their main system. Gave 130 give card against the purchase, so paid 370. Currently out of stock but should be ready for collection on the 31st.
Wanted to price match amazon but was told that can't do now as it's out of stock currently. Advised to price match through their customer services when get the phone.
Times to go back to Argos and return the button phone I bought from them as they accept only smartphones only, at least in store. Thanks again OP for great deal, missus will be happy.
  23. trs020382's avatar
Currys stock has been terrible, so I got one from JL which included the buds. -£130 total trade in (which I need to claim), hopefully -£100ish for the buds on eBay before the claims start getting fulfilled by Google, and eBay is flooded in a few weeks will give me the Pixel for £270ish.

I've got an RWG lifetime £15 SIM (100 mins, 100 texts, 750mb data each month) for the main number; I'd rather keep that number on that plan than port it out and lose it, paired with a 5p Lyca eSIM for data only. Working a treat.
  24. Ted_49's avatar
Price looks good I would only do it in store though not sure I would trust the online trade in
  25. leafar's avatar
Went to local Carphone Warehouse. They checked the phone which I bought from argos today by IMEI and it was rejected.
Had another old style bar phone on me, same story. Both rejected for trade in. Sales assistant said that they share the system and database with Currys and it would be elegible for trade in at Currys as well.
I thought you can bring any phone but looks like you can't.
    Paranoia's avatar
Sounds odd. My hunch would be they check if the IMEIs are blacklisted as stolen - sounds like the system was playing up to me.
  26. Professor_Chaos's avatar
I saw it in T&c somewhere

dont Worry about that just do the trade in it will be accepted
  27. leafar's avatar
The phone is out of stock again. Went to Currys. Spoke to the manager, she insists it should be a smartphone of any age, not a bar phone. I think I'll stop here, tired of chasing it and wasting time.
Thank you OP for the deal and good on you who managed to grab one.
    angie555's avatar
Not even sure what a bar phone is, but thanks for the info

sent claim. Approved instantly. Fingers crossed get the colour I want. Those wanting to sell these on ebay, I doubt you'll get more than £65 for them LOL

Great to be able to try out some premium buds for 'free' though and a nice change from the cheap amazon ones i use.

Perhaps not, doesn't really matter. Even then you're paying £275 tops, ridiculous bargain.

Anyone having difficulty with their buds claim? Submitted it straight away with proof of purchase of a Pixel 7 from Currys during the offer period.

Claim was automatically accepted within a few minutes and told to wait up to 30 says for buds to arrive.

Then about a week later I received an email saying they need another IMEI photo with today's date? Sent it and they refused it, asking me to send another one.

Any thoughts on how to overcome this brick wall? (edited)
    angie555's avatar

And I no longer have the phone for the IME number

You're in for a long wait, we're probably looking to July for them to launch the 7a. I'm also waiting and have been following Android Authority emails for this. The handset should launch May the 10th then be available 6-8 weeks after this (assuming no shortage in chips again!)

Also they don't mention free Pixel Buds Pro. Is it included. Thanks

I think with Amazon you have to do the trade first, send device and wait for voucher which will only be redeemable against the Pixel 7

They did pick they wrong one first, and I just showed them on my phone the £240 offer.
