    For anyone with Amex Platinum, there's a £50 Harvey Nicks credit every 6 months.

    The fee is £650 per year. This is the first year I've done it so got 75,000 rewards points for signing up (convert to Avios 1:1, so that alone is pretty good if you travel). I use the lounges at least twice a month with business travel and you can get up to 4 people in for free if your supplementary cardholder is with you, so thats free lounge access for family holidays too. You also get £300 restaurant credit, and £100 Harvey Nichols credit per year as well as lots of other perks like travel insurance, hire car insurance, hotel upgrades and credits etc etc. For me it's a no brainer, but if you don't travel much then I imagine the yearly cost wouldn't make a lot of sense.

    I think whoever in Harvey Nicks quoted an original price for Campbeltown Loch of £50 was having a laugh.

    Its a lovely whisky - but I'm pretty certain £40 is the standard price for it.
