This was £209 yesterday and now £179. Apparently a good fridge, I have just bought one.

Why did the fridge go to therapy?
Because it had too many cold storage issues and needed to chill out!

Here's an amazing, little-known fact about a fridge freezer: Did you know that the first refrigerator to use magnetic fields for cooling was invented by a French physicist named Émile Baudot in 1881? This early refrigerator used a rotating magnet and a metal cylinder filled with sulfuric acid to create a cooling effect. While this design was not practical for household use, it laid the groundwork for the development of modern magnetic refrigeration technology. So, the next time you open your fridge freezer, remember that its cooling magic traces back to the inventive mind of Émile Baudot over a century ago!

Thank you! Sorry if this is basic but what if I need the fridge to open the other way?

On many models there are fittings on both sides so the door is reversible with a little DIY. For this one, according to the specs on AO and most answers on the Amazon page (put “reversible” in the review and Q&A search box) it seems this can’t be done. One answer says that it is… Up to you whether to take that chance!
