Seems a decent enough deal for the machine along with 30 free capsules. Multiple colour options. Deal for £49.99 on John Lewis a few months back too, so although probably not worth the RRP of £99, seems decent for £49. Folk mention before capsules could be worth between £20-£30.

Deal is through BlueLightCard which appreciate is not available to everyone.

Pods can only be obtained direct from Nespresso with a select few third-party pods for sale.

You can get resuable pods but you'll be better with the older Nespresso machines if you want third-party pods.

I have a vertuo but I've ordered the £59 L,or with 150 capsules, the price of the Vertuo ones at 48p for espresso rising to as much as 80p for larger ones is quite pricey when a few of you have a few cups a day..

Hadn’t heard of L’or machines, they look like a good deal!

Ah yes, the same Vertuo machine that draws you in with a cheap price to utlimately then be shafted on pods direct from Nespresso - genius.

Pods are between 60p and 90p each. Do yourself a favour and get an original Nespresso machine which takes the pods available everywhere from around 20p each.

If you prefer the bigger pods then take a look at L’Or pod machines. They take old style 20p Nespresso pods as well as L’Or ‘XXL’ pods which are about 45p each. (edited)

Did anyone else get this to work? I can't find Nespresso in the Blue Light Card app

Nice coffee. Expensive or not. It's nice coffee. If you want to use other coffee granules etc, just buy the reusable capsule on another website. But the main point of this machine is for the coffee.

It you get the old style pods and buy either Illi (they're about the best) or keep a watchful eye on Discount Dragon (regularly feature here) you can get pods for sometimes less the 10p each (Starbucks where doing the round a while back). Amazon also do thier own version that OK but not amazing.

Take care with discountdragon pods, ground coffee is one of the few things where age really matters (even when in a pod!)

Heat added, they’re very attractive machines with very nice coffee at a good price/deal. Great gift for the not too hard up, aesthetic coffee enthusiast?

(However, it would be remiss of me not to mention that I regretted mine - I wanted larger coffees than the original but not the ongoing costs of Vertuo. Anyone wanting larger, and clean/green coffee but concerned about the ongoing pod costs, I personally found my happy coffee place with a Lavazza A Modo Mio machine & coffee subscription.) (edited)
