sorted by1) the full HD screen is lovely but the viewing angles are pants. Not a problem for me but if that type of thing bothers you then you'd really notice
2) the battery life is awful. I have mine on a desk plugged in almost all of the time so again it's not an issue in my case but I'd be lucky to get an hour out of the battery if I was using it unplugged for anything taxing. I'd say if you are going to use your laptop for lots of off-battery work then look elsewhere.
Also what’s the better option this one or the Ryzen 5 version with the bonus of a 256gb SSD?

The Newer 2nd Gen Ryzen 5 3500u is better than the HP with older Ryzen 2500u. Worth paying extra £30 for the Lenovo.
Yes, Ryzen 5 3500u is better for gaming than Intel. You can run Fortnite on it on medium settings.

Thanks, I didn’t notice the 2500u vs 3500u part. I was also looking at the Lenovo, for some reason the DVD drive put me off as almost makes it seem more dated, I guess it doesn’t hurt to have it.
