    Spring flowering bulbs should be planted in late Autumn and early Winter , much too late to plant now, that's why they are a pound. Some other items on the sale page would be OK though.

    You will of course have to store them somewhere dry now until August/September time to come up next spring. If they don't I doubt very much that you will get a refund.

    if they are already showing roots and growth, plant them indoors in pots. then come autumn, plant them outside for next year. if they are dormant, place them in the fridge for the cooling effect and that will encourage growth to start for indoors.

    We got some for my mum and dad's gave around this time off year from homebase and planted them straight away. They've been flowing every year since then

    I have planted the Snowdrops I bought as the bulbs looked nice and healthy and would probably just dry out if left until October. I know it's a risk and the best I can hope for is they'll develop leaves and then go dormant before flowering next season. Fingers crossed but for a quid it's worth a risk.
