How do we deal sans Google services?

Plenty of alternatives available, just google it ( pun fully intended ....... I'll see myself out ).
But seriously, I don't understand why so many find the lack of Play Store and Google Services a deal-breaker.
I use Aurora Store which basically gives you access to everything that's on Play Store without a google account and completely anonymous and you don't need any Google Services running on your phone.

Understandably this might not do very well due to the high price, lack of 5G & no Google Play Services.
But voted hot here being a longstanding Huawei fan & owning a P30 Pro for the past 4 years. (edited)

Magic 5 pro is the closest thing to the p30 Pro just bought one for the wife which is a Huawei fan. She loving the phone. I bought the magic 4 Pro when it was release but that was buggy so had to return it. No issue with the new model.

    Phone prices are getting ridiculous.

I understand that this has excellent cameras, but the lack of 5G, no Google Play Services, and ugly software make this a poor deal in my opinion.

£500-600 would be more like it.

Unfortunately the lack of Google play services etc. Don't make the phone any cheaper to manufacture

Crazy isn't it US said Huawei is a security threat so Google Services was removed and it's now ok. So Google services is the security threat but it's ok on all other Android phones

Wish US and the rest of the world that believed this BS can explain this from a technical security perspective and it's not because they cried they couldn't compete with cheaper, better competition

Would be on this as successor to P20 Pro, one of the best phones of all time (edited)

You misunderstand, it's not the phone or Google Play Services that are the security threat, it's that US companies, ie: Google, are banned from working with Huawei. It's irrelevant that GPS is on other phones, that's not the point. It's about the Chinese government having direct access to telcomms infrastructures in West.

How are these phones viable in the UK now? The earlier phones were great, but this is an expensive rest of world trap phone to have.
    spiritual_mutant's avatar
not via retail, only from huawei itself, or 2nd hand. their earlier phones were fantastic but they actually improve on all their models, their new phones are fantastic, and I actually believe huawei are miles above apple and samsung when it comes to actually designing a smartphone for modern use. The only drawback is the disadvantage that huawei have to jump through more hoops to get the same level of software service apple and samsung can offer.

But there is modern ways around that. I use google services on my p50 pro.

    14nm chip apparantly.
Makes me wonder if it is FD-SOI or similar for them to hype it as 7nm.
