We're getting ever closer to my new price point for SSDs, which is where they pay me to take them off their hands.

I can imagine this has been covered elsewhere but what's the explanation for these falling in price when everything else seems to be going up?

There is an oversupply of NAND flash currently in the market.
They upped production to cover the shortage when demand was high, when it collapsed there is now an over supply in the market meaning prices are getting lower.

Don't worry though, there will be a ""convenient"" fire no doubt at one of the factories to bring down supply to raise prices.

Was going to buy a 128gb usb flash drive for playing films on the TV.

With the price of these so low, I think I'll get one instead, yeah they are a bit bigger and I'll need a usb to sata adapter but the transfer speeds when copying to them will be much, much faster.

Nice price, cheap enough for a mess around drive when you want to try out new OS on bare metal.

    Or to actually use

For the little extra I'd go for the P series.

    Very cheap price.

I have used many brand of SSDs now, so far, only one SSD died on me. It was an Integral, either V series or P series. For that reason, I will not buy any Integral SSD anymore despite their cheaper price.
