12/13 would be better option, 5G, better camera, iOS updates etc.

This is the second time I tried to buy a used phone from Giffgaff. First had a non-apple part warning when turned on so had to go back. This second one won't even charge from the charging port.
Fool me once etc. Their meaning of refurbished obviously doesn't equate to the dictionary definition.

I'm sorry to hear this.

My experience was the opposite. Bought a good condition Iphone 13 pro which was in excellent condition screen was mint and battery 87%. Looked like it was hardly used.

Actually returned it because it was TOO big/wide and unwieldy to hold. They refunded straight away and I got message about it. Very impressed with service.

I think the sweet spot is the 11 pro with 5.8 screens - but they are older models.

At least returns are free and no questions asked within 21 days. Their warranty also state they cover the battery which is a nice surprise.
