Remind me guys which of the minis has the crap battery life - 12,13, or 14?

12. And there is no 14 Mini.

80% battery means it needs a new one

Bought both 12 mini and 13 mini recently - 12 mini was LITERALLY brand new. Never registered so 12 months AppleCare started when it was turned on. 13 mini was as described - as new, perfect condition and 100% battery. 10 months AppleCare on it and looked like it had never been touched either.

I bought a 12 Mini for £225 ish from GiffGaff two weeks ago and it’s MINT. Didn’t come in the original box but it was literally sparkling, no damage, doesn’t even look like it’s been used nor picked up! 100% battery health, and came with a charger, a SIM opener and also I ordered at night, and it came the next morning with DPD. Mine was marked as “like new” condition and 64gb (edited)

They don't come with chargers normally just a lead?

I bought a like new refurbed iPhone 13 mini from giff gaff last month. It was brand new with 100% battery life.
This is a great deal and if you’re unlucky and get an 82% battery life one - just return it.

This was my favourite iPhone but I just wish'd they got ride of Face ID and put the finger print sensor on the side so it doesn't have a huge hole in the top. Also get rid of the camera bump, have it flat on the back like the iPhone 4.

Recently purchased one at this price and my phone was mint with 100% battery.

80% what the heck

I’m going to take a punt on this. Cos my daughter wanted one anyway and this is £200 cheaper. Fingers crossed.

I ordered one and returned it due to having a yellowed screen where everything looked like it was covered with sepia with True Tone and auto brightness turned off. Quite a few people have that problem with iPhone. The interface should be a bright cool grey colour, not a dark muddy yellow. (With the mentioned settings turned off)
Also read the battery can wear out pretty fast and when you get below 90% health the battery life can get pretty bad (under a day usage)
Apple are also kind enough to restrict faster charging speeds to their "Pro" models, so while this phone has a battery about half the size of any other phones of today it'll actually take you longer to charge. Thanks Apple.
And even though the screen is smaller, I still found iOS too hard to use with one hand as a left handed user.

Do you have to take out a contract?

Nah just a £10 goody bag and then cancel

Have other colours been coming into stock?

FYI, I bought another one of these for a family member. Phone has just arrived - 100% battery health again and looks brand new. I'm not fussed but Apple warranty/coverage had expired and looking at the serial number, the "purchase date" is Oct 21.

Same, 99% battery and purchased sept 2021, so no apple coverage. It seems fishy though. I bought 11 pro max in july 2021 and its battery is now 82%. How in the hell this one is at 99%? Do they replace the battery and claim like new?
adam_1001
worth a punt, easy to send back if needed

Just to clarify, phone is 99% battery and purchased sept 2021, so no apple coverage. But, It seems fishy to have 99% battery health. I bought 11 pro max in july 2021 and its battery is now 82%. How this one is at 99%? Do they replace the battery and claim like new?

Assuming as they are refurbished, that the battery would be replaced with a new one anyway?
