My partner bought a "Like New" Pixel Fold and it was immaculate, likely brand new.
This lead me to buy an iPhone 14 Pro Max "Like New". It arrived with a screen blemish. I sent them a picture and they said it should have been a "good" condition, and that had I paid in full, they would have just refunded the difference...
But I used Klarna, so I would have to return the phone and they would send out another one... except they don't have any in-stock so would just refund the whole amount.
So I'd say to keep your existing handset around just incase.
