To clean the kettle, all you have to do is put enough water to cover any limescale and add good amount of lemon juice ( you will work out how much you need with experience ) and leave the kettle for 30 minutes. Where I live, the water is not so bad so I do it once a month.

Glass kettle is good as you can CLEARLY see all the rubbish that comes out of your water. (edited)

A spoon of Citric Acid also works perfectly

Is it worth getting a glass kettle if you live in a hard water area? It looks so lovely but I'm worried I'll be cleaning it the whole time

You will! In hard water areas when water is heated it turns decidedly milky!

    Sounds like a great deal!

    Anyone used one of these?

Yep , pretty good, descaled it last week, came up like new

Instead of wasting time and effort descaling, why aren't you hard water folk using a filter jug?. .

Even with Britta jug filter you will get a slow limescale buidup.

just got this last week but the version that changes colour as the water heats. Works really well. It’s been very handy to roughly know the temperature for when I’m heating water for things like a hot water bottle or washing dishes. Also means i’m not using more electricity than I need.

Ordered 1st September for click and collect on 4th. It still hasn't arrived yet. I've bought a different kettle now as I'm fed up with waiting, but there's no way to cancel the order. All I can do is wait for it to be delivered to the store (heaven knows when that will be), don't collect it, then receive my refund 10 days later! And yes, they took payment from my account straight away!

Absolutely awful service. They don't deserve your custom.

Had same issue. Was waiting over a week for stock to arrive and my order to be fulfilled.

I bought it but is it only me that I had to descale it twice in a week?

Or it is normal for all

Or I got something below the standard

Little research shows that hard water area need to descale it every three months. So what area I live in very very very very hard water....
