Not as sweet as expected, more of a bitter marmalade vibe. Worked well in an Old Fashioned.

That's EXACTLY where it belongs. It's not intended as a straight sipping whiskey.

I admit to drinking a few bottles of Jamesons orange when it was on a deal, it's a wrong-un but goes down well and is pretty refreshing. I imagine this would be better reserved for a mixer?
Might have to give it a go but expectations are pretty low. One for the novelty shelf along with the Red Stag cherry.
I see the Red Stag is also on offer for £13 so might have to get more in too. Cheers everyone! (edited)

I'm tempted by the Red Stag mostly because I like Cherry flavoured things ( Kraken and Old J rums etc) .
Is the Cherry a strong flavour or is it more like RYE......................................................2 molecules of an extremely mild cherry float past your window ?

32.5% might make for a half decent mouthwash

Only joking, not a fan of JB but at this price be rude not to try.
Grobbendonk makes a very good comparison with Red Stag cherry & that was perfectly quaffable. With him also on the Jamesons orange, an oddly enjoyable experience but I wouldn't drop so low as the new Haig Club Orange (edited)

Red stag is a cracking drink, just very very dangerous as it makes everything taste like non alcoholic pop!

Might be a bit sweet for my taste buds.

32.5% alcohol! Spirit should be at least 40%.
