Yes, the lesser models tend to have universal motors, they offer a set number of hours use before they give up. That is as long as something else does not break first. The 135 and K4 are induction motors, better build and should last under heavier use but again, other things can malfunction.
Will have to keep an eye out, 135 seem to be about £150 at moe. Lesser models can be had cheaper, but i'd prefer to stay midrange on this one
Nilfisk wise a c135 would be close but only a 2 year guarantee. They have been £99 in the past but more now so it makes the K4 a decent deal.
Thought this was a good deal really. 4 years warranty too. Seen it as low as £70 in their outlet, but only 3mths warranty My old K2 has died (prob 2years out of it) but was only £45 from oulet, although i did replace hiose once. What Nilfisk model is this being compared too like?
I don't think it is necessarily the fact it is not being shown to be cheaper now but it has been £115 or even less at various stores not long back. It is still a decent price for a new unit with a 3 year guarantee but perhaps not a bargain. Plus many think Nilfisk are better, at the low end they are but at this price point Karcher catch up. I will vote hot if anything if I needed one.
