Not my thing, but I went for the brownie points while on honeymoon. The story reads very much like that of one of my sisters - promiscuous woman is at it with 4 blokes at the same time, gets pregnant and only when the blood test came in did the CSA know where to send the maintenance bill for my nephew.

Always compare as you can generally get cheaper. Ebookers for example has a 12% off code, sometimes more most of the time.

When I booked my hotel I found only lastminute.com was cheaper for the city I am going to. I know there are better deals around but no deals are effective for every locations therefore if the codes helps someone saving 10% there is no harm.

Blackgang

Loads of better deals on hotels out there, shop around and save lots of dosh, why do you think the world and their are into hotel booking. (cheeky)

Pretty much. Point of payment stated 165 from memory. Card details added and make payment button clicked. Screen then refreshed and said code invalid and further refreshed to take 265. Customer services have been terrible. Still no response

rachelandgromit

I've just seen this, so are people saying that at checkout it was one price but then without advising them last-minute took a different amount? I never bought this deal as I couldn't find anything suitable for the dates I wanted but I was able to get to checkout and price was still showing at zero. So did those that book enter their payment details when it showed as zero/low amount with the code and then their cards were charged a different amount? Did you screen shot everything? I don't see how they can take a different amount if they didn't tell you in any way. I only know that at the point of asking for payment it was showing as the amount in the screenshots.

gillmk2

They have point blank ignored my daily email correspondence since this offer was live and I was caught the same as yourself. Following an initial phonecall they emailed me a 'refund quotation's which was a mere 129 pounds! If no response by morning I intend to call them again. The first call meant being on hold for 25mins!

I've been several times and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, but this deal is for a holiday when it's way too warm, hence me saying that it should be voted cold. My tip, always do some research on weather prior to booking any holiday. It's no good making a saving if it's too hot/wet to do anything when you get there.

sbfc

Been there in August and March and much preferred August.... We even had snow in March Crazy... It went from being 25 one day to snowing the next. The heat in August does take some getting used to but it is a completely different kind of heat.. It is very dry with no humidity.

royy

yes there's a lot of people who have disliked Las Vegas probably because they've gone there when it's too hot. For me I think it's fantastic loads to do and see you need to go there when the weather suits you

Hilton Grand Vacations at back of Planet Hollywood and linked via Miracle Mile. Free parking and last time there was no resort fee. Vegas is great as a base for a road trip. Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Moab for Arches NP and Canyonlands NP, Page for Lake Powell NP, Antelope slot canyons and Big Bend, Zion NP and then back to Vegas for a few nights. Filled with wow factors everyday.

Slim2k

Email the hotel direct, much cheaper and pound/dollar can't get much worse (_;). Monte Carlo is worth checking as its going through a refurb and name change at the moment, heard rooms are cheap. Also ask if they can offer any complimentary breakfast, resort credit or freeplay with the room. ;) Agree, we are going next month, car booked for 5 days. M resort is worth a visit if you like to gamble, $5 BJ and craps. Dunno how much you gamble, but get urself a mLife card if you staying at a property and scan it for every single thing. Then check before you check out for any comps. They have never comp'd resort fee's but knocked a couple of quid off of our room bill.

Just wanted to say thanks rachelandgrommit for posting this deal. I managed to go to Melbourne from Aberdeen for my birthday for £358 return. It was my first time in Australia and I had an amazing time. In case anyone is still in dispute with lastminute.com the following info may help... Lastminute did try to cancel my flights by email saying: "We regret to inform you that, due to a fare filing error, your ticket was advertised and issued at an undeniable and recognisably erroneous fare and the airline has therefore annulled it. As a result of this, we regret to inform you that your booking has been cancelled. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Rest assured, we will immediately refund the entire amount that was charged for this booking via the same card you used to make the reservation. Please note it may take few days for the refund to appear on your account’s statement. Kind regards, Customer Care Team lastminute.com" However I had a later email saying: "I have tried to contact you this morning by phone with regards to your booking with us for flights from Aberdeen to Melbourne. Due to a system error you were amongst the recipients of a massive communication sent to some of our customers concerning the cancellation of your flight. Please rest assured that the communication was erroneously sent to you and there will be no difference to your reservation. The details below that my colleague Charlotte has sent to you are valid for your reservation: Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me by email or call me." Not sure what there criteria was for honouring some flights and not others but it seems a bit sketchy that they can just cancel people's flights after sending confirmation, particularly if people had booked other non refundable items like accommodation, activities, car hire etc after having their bookings confirmed.

MarkVed

I can confirm I've received a £100 no-catches voucher from last minute. They called a couple of days ago, voucher landed in my inbox today. I've used them before, but not enough to be a 'vip'.

vyp3r_snyp3r

I haven't heard back neither. I got my refund from lastminute.com but Qantas are sending me in circles with my seating refund. I have been verbally told and also written confirmation of a refund within 10 days, that has not happened.

mikaylah

Wondering if we'll hear back from them as well, then. Has anyone else been contacted?

ehosin

Just got a call from the Lastminute "vip team" to apologise for the cancellation and offering a £100 voucher - I hadn't complained or anything, so overall not overly displeased.

we went here about a month ago and it was possibly the worst meal we've ever had. If your using a voucher they make you feel like a peasant. They tell you.. the customer, how your steak will be cooked. I asked for mine well with no pink, they refused to cook it, starter was chicken parfait and they forgot to put the bread on, you will end up spending a further £50+ on top of the voucher because of extras and drinks. Toilets were disgusting too. I complained to the joint owner and he said Marco Pierre White only owns 2 restaurants the rest are franchise. Honestly stay away from the overpriced restaurants by Marco Pierre White. We have a better experience and better quality mean and better service, cleaner, cooler and they get your order right at The Riverside at Weaverham Cheshire 241 too.

It is recommended that you book a date at least four to six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher.  All bookings are subject to availability. Please note: the River Cruise part of this voucher is not valid in July and August.
