If you are buying one for temporary use / only want the £1.99 for 3 months bit / want it for EU roaming .. then I would strongly suggest using a revolut temporary card to buy it with. I had nothing but problems with the last deal they did where it was 1p. They charged the full price after just the first month, kept having to get in touch with them to sort it out. It's like they were doing it on purpose. Every month charging the full price not the promotional price. There were lots of people on a phone forum I'm on complaining of the same issue too.

ive almost finished my 6 month stint with Lebara and no issues at all. Not saying your case isnt true, but i would imagine its a freak occurance.

Does anyone find their data gets used far quicker on Lebara? I moved from Virgin Mobile and on an office day where I go into London this week I used 2Gb of data, on virgin it would have been in megabytes not gigabytes.

Because WhatsApp, Facebook etc are all free on virgin and they roll over unused data.Very surprised you didn't know this.

Great deal, but can I suggest you keep the opinions for the comments & stick to facts in the deal?

Better price than 12GB for £2.99

That is totally subjective - for someone who even occasionally needs more that 10GB it simply is not true. You could say "Better price per GB than 12GB for £2.99". Still, for someone needing 10.1 to 12GB even 1 month in 3, it is not relevant.

It's also only 3 months whereas the 12GB one is 6 as far as I am aware.

    Can anyone help me?
I am currently with Vodafone. If I were to take this Lebara (works on Vodafone network as I understand from comments above) sim, would I be able to port my number to it?
The reason why I am asking is that at least few years ago, they would not port number from one contract to another within the same network if I would take the contract from third party firm (such as mobilephonesdirect or similar). I assume it is a different thing here, but still would appreciate that anyone, who have done it, could confirm.

Yes, we have also done this whilst being with Vodafone twice in the household.

These Lebara offers are poor compared to some previous offering. They may starting competing with lyca offers at some point again.

I doubt it. They have given enough offers to get customers on board. Now they will have to increase price to make some money.

I have two Lebara accounts on two separate emails. One of the offers are ending. Can I cancel one and port that number to the other Lebera account, then start a new offer with the cancelled email account?

seeking advice on porting number out and out.
recently bought a three contract and ported my number to lebara. now want to port back the number to my new contract (three).
number still seemed to be under three, despite having received a message about the successful porting to lebara.

    what should i do?
    jack201's avatar
You can't do that it will most likely end your three contract and you'll have to pay the full amount as far as I know

    What's the signal like?
    Somebody's avatar
No problems. Piggybacks onto Vodafone network. I moved 2 SIMs from Tesco to save money (£0.01pm for 6 months). Had some initial iMessage and FaceTime connection issues but soon fixed.
