Lebara SIM with 2Gb and 1000 minutes for £1 with code
Sign up as a 'new' customer and receive a SIM with 2Gb data and 1000 minutes for £1.00. Use code ONEOFF90 . Not used Lebara myself, but seems good for a back up SIM.

OP, thanks again. My sim just arrived, I activated it and so far, all seems good!

The first thing I did once I logged onto my account was to turn off the auto-renew - that's thankfully located front and centre which is a good thing. I then got an email thanking me for setting up my account to auto renew! Their online chat numpties weren't the best - the first one ended the chat mid way, it just stopped, and the second needed everything explaining twice - but that's not really a Lebara thing, I'm amazed if I ever get half decent CS from a telecom company!

It's a bit odd that they sell the package as 1000mins, but on your account when you log in it shows unlimited...one of those, "fair usage" situations I'm guessing?

Of course, you've got to have been in this country to have experienced the other side..... it was £40 to £50 average bill not all that long ago. I'm over joyed with £10 and 1000 mins, yeah you can get cheap but its splitting hairs and very far from 'Overpriced'

It's £2 a month if you read it correctly. The previous comment doesn't really work either - one in India aren't all priced in relation to the wages paid, be either of you been there?
Since when was the average sim only bill £40-50?!
Being overjoyed at over paying? I think you're on the wrong site! It's not, "splitting hairs" when you compare a plan with 2gb to an equivalent with 5gb for the same price

£4 per month is pretty fair (pro rata) when you realise that the average …£4 per month is pretty fair (pro rata) when you realise that the average annual wage income in India is £13K. Our average income in UK is £27K, but we have a much higher percentage of disposable income.

Have a look at mobile phone costs for calls and data in South Africa. The UK is a bargain by comparison.

Any other companies that offer vodafone? Looks like having phones locked … Any other companies that offer vodafone? Looks like having phones locked to ee or o2 is much better

Yeah I mean you're right, there are more piggyback networks using EE and 02 , but apart from giving you more choice , I'm not sure they're much better ( especially those running on EE which in my own personal experience seems to fiddle with the data allowance or give false high speeds to corrode data consumption on these and their own plans)...

As for networks other than Lebara using Vodafone , there is also talk talk ( which currently has a half price offer on all their plans mobile.talktalk.co.uk/sim but again from my own personal experience, they aren't great ), and last and possibly least ( I haven't used them but even ordering from them or finding out what plan you're getting seems difficult ) is talkmobile talkmobile.co.uk/upg…nly .

They all seem to have some issues these days tbh.. The only way we will get better service across the board is if all phones are unlocked out of the box .., that way the monopolisticaly induced laziness will stop and these companies will actually start caring about the customers , the service and maybe just maybe , we will see less big mergers and more networks which provide their own independent signal ( who knows maybe, and this is alternative universe stuff , Jeremy Corbyn wins the upcoming election and decides to start a publicly owned mobile phone network, you think NewLaboura is too close a name?? Hehe)

That's what the person who had my card details was doing. Buying PAYG credit of different amount's between £5 and £20. I think there was around 5 or 6 transaction's. Luckily I caught it on the day and had the bank block the card or it could of been a lot more.

Again though that's not Lebara's fault I was just a bit annoyed by there lack of support in the matter. They wanted nothing to do with it even though stolen card details were being used. I've since found out that the people who steal card details use these top-up company as a way of testing the card is active before using it elsewhere or selling the card details on.

I am so sorry to hear about your sons unfortunate experience with Lebara.

To be frank, the company started off with good promotional deals and good level of customer service but their service since last year has been totally shocking.

I had to take out my Lebara sim to fix the phone that I was using. When I put the sim back in after a few days, it didnt work. I wrote to customer service to help me out and they never replied. I lost £ 5-7 that was on that sim. I also feel that their system charges more than the advertised rate.

I feel sorry for people who are being lured in by such a dodgy company.

It looks like the person who posted this news works for lebara, because ive seen alot of these guys trying to advertise, i think they are linked to vectone mobile aswell but not 100%, where i live i probably see these people 3 times a week, with their little stand trying to sell these crap sims, i wouldnt trust them
