The Intel version was posted here a few days ago and is now expired, there is now a sale on the AMD version of the Ideapad 5 Slim.

Lenovo Ideapad 5 Slim 14" AMD Ryzen 7530U - £419.24 FHD OLED Display - NO OS £419.24 with 8GB Ram or £456.74 with 16GB Ram, also an option to upgrade to a Ryzen 7730U which gives you an option to save some money by going for a 2.2K IPS Display (May be preferable for some)

Remember to remove OS in "Build Your PC"

Other options are:

Fingerprint reader - £10
56.6Wh Battery - £10
65W USB-C Wall Mount Slim 90% PCC AC Adapter - UK - £10

I'm sorely tempted to go for the Ryzen 7730U Model with 16GB Ram and 2.2K IPS Display. along with the fingerprint reader and larger battery for £517.50

Just for anyone thinking getting a OLED, if its mainly going to be used for text be aware it will not be as sharp as IPS.

I'm sending a laptop back for this very reason (its a entry level Asus with FHD OLED screen) don't know if the the 2k OLED screen will be better, if anyone can confirm?

I absolutely agree with this comment, it is due to the Pentile pixel arrangement on most OLEDS.
I personally prefer a IPS LCD.

This, or ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED - M3401QA, AMD Ryzen 7-5800H, 16 GB RAM 512GB SSD, Windows 11, with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, for £450 like new, Amazon prime? (edited)

That's a more powerful machine if you don't mind used.

Depends what size laptop you are looking for. 14" always tend to cost a little more compared to their larger equivalents. The Base CPU on this is only a little bit slower than the Asus from John Lewis. Probably not noticeable in the real world. This is about £100 cheaper (If ordered with 16GB ram)

Was tempted by this but now not sure because of the apparent hinge issues with this model

Long thread on Lenovo forums: forums.lenovo.com/t5/…e=1 and plenty of videos on Youtube about it

That is an older model, this has just come out and there are no reviews yet.

Thought this would get more heat considering it's a Ryzen 7000, 16gb ram, Oled screen with 400 nits. Am I missing something?

Anyone know if the chassis is metal or plastic? (edited)

I thought it seemed a good machine for the price.
    And it's all aluminium
