You can buy a 3060 for this price and not far from 3070 either. Not a deal, waste of money. Old gpu. Avoid this please, that includes you OP.

Don’t waste your money on metal and fancy screen. ThatsNotWorthIt. (edited)

Your two comments were enough and I can already see that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, so I will just nod and thank you for your opinion.

I mean this is kinda old tech now, may as well spend a bit more for latest hardware

Agreed, newer ones can be found, but find me at least one aluminium laptop with such a good screen and RTX 3060 graphics even up to £1,000, then we can talk.

Slightly old tech but for the same kind of money on something newer you'll be looking at a plastic build, 3060 and worse screen. Need to add at least £300 to get anything much better on performance.

I wasn’t so lucky but it was an awesome laptop!

Voting hot for the build but not for the specs. This is a 3 year old processor in a pretty metal chassis. I would rather buy a newer generation in a solid plastic chassis for a little more.

I am looking for a reasonable laptop which is a good all rounder around £500.

    Ideally a larger screen 15.5-16".

Probably 16GB Ram these days, Win 11 or compatible and 512GB SSD.

No graphics GPU needed really as this is just for office type apps.
    What would people recommned?

The best prices for laptops will be around June. I would hunt for a one like this: hotukdeals.com/dea…616

Don’t recommend this to anyone, it’s hinge design is poor and many including myself encountered hinge issues only 2-3 months after using the laptop. Lenovo fixed the hinge rigidity on the subsequent legion 7 models.

Bit of a weird and niche find but I think it's not bad for the money - it's a little older but it was clearly very high-end at launch hence the i7, very bright and fast display and upper-end GPU (that is still decent today).
