    These are great little laptops!
Having worked in Tech Support for 20 years supporting mainly Lenovo devices, you can’t go wrong from a reliability point of view. Some of the x270 models also have dual batteries, so you can pretty much get all day battery life. They also charge via the USB C port as well as the main charging port.
I’m still using a 10 year old x230 that i picked up for about 50 quid, hoping to get a bit more use out of it yet :-)

They made a mistake with Lenovo X280 being 8GB RAM on listing but actually shipped a 16GB RAM. Do you think it's also a mistake here? Is there even a Lenovo X270 with 8GB variation or all X270 ships with 16GB by default?

Another amazing deal- here's the thing. For normie PC use, we've now had many many generations of more than good enough kit, with today's NEW kit in the same sector offering little to no advantage over buying good second hand. Indeed, it is common for low end new to be compromised garbage today.

Two strong desktop class cores are not ideal, but remain fine for most normie use. Four cores are better- in theory- but its more complex when it comes to the desire for better battery life. 8GB or RAM is an ideal minimum- one may need to be sensible and avoid the latest bloatware that companies like MS push- tho the browser wars keep desktop browsers mostly sane.

Things will change next year when AMD finally is forced to pull its thumb out of its blank, and start making very good APUs indeed- and Intel's counter will be price, and an attempt at much better power efficiency. But today, it's all about these amazing second-hand bargains.

Ordered and saved further £10 from the Nectar Ebay voucher I earned from buying the X280 version last week and this purchase triggered another 1,000 bonus points from nectar and tracked cashback from Topcashback. Voted hot thanks!

I'm actually using an X230 as my main laptop (mainly for web browsing, music etc... No gaming). It works flawlessly but I've had to bite on this for the FHD screen at under £100!

I love this form factor, even for watching YouTube etc... Don't need bigger. Next step is find a suitable battery, as it says no external battery ships.

Voted hot, cheers for the heads up.

I have one of these. Runs great for web browsing. I added 8GB and switched the SSD out for one of my own Samsung ones. (edited)
