The most innovative technology in TV In contrast to LED TV technology that uses backlights, LG OLED screens pack self-lighting pixels which means they work independently to emit their own light This allows for perfect black levels, outstanding colours, infinite contrasts and the sharpest details which ultimately uncover all the details in darker scenes. TV takes a leap forward Transform your TV into a central hub with the intelligent ThinQ AI LG ThinQ allows simple command and control your Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition, there’s no remote needed Also, with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, LG OLED TV makes life so much more convenient. Immersive Cinema Experience Self-lit pixels make every scene feel real Enjoy professionally mastered visual and sound Sold as an Agent of Euronics Ltd Also known as OLED55CX5LB / OLED55CX5LB.AEK. Not sure that would work for me as I ordered mine on finance 😔

I would try and give them a call, they were very helpful over the phone and I only had to pay the difference, not for the whole thing again.

The C1 is the 2021 version of this TV the CX 2020.. both are really similar feature wise so I'll go for whichever one is cheaper

Totally agree. The picture quality is immense. The transitions it can do from completely black/incredibly dark to really bright scenes are amazing and massively immersive.

Its just great that black, does actually equal black with these.

I know exactly how it works, I was being facetious with my comment. These TVs have anti burn measures, paused for 10 minutes the screen goes black and has little pixel refreshers in the form of fireworks. I don't have brightness to the max and don't pause things like sky sports news for hours in end

The old 2017 models were bad for it, no any burn measures and stuff, these TV companies included them to stop burn in and the grief that comes along with it

Anyway back to Forza horizon 5

Right, but you cant claim something is a myth while also acknowledging it exists, believe it or not the whole of the internet is not hotukdeals, only takes a quick google to show burn in can still pose a problem, hell even linus tech tips who raved about his oled now has slight screen burn after 1 year, easy option is to just buy with JL pay the burn in warranty and enjoy the thing. Didn't realise that - so unfair on people that live in NI.

    How is it unfair?

There's a sea to cross which isn't free.

Like with most UK couriers NI, The Highlands and some isles carry surcharges.

A bit of a heads up. Checked my order this morning, apparently they were awaiting a response from me. Called to check what was going on, I was told that they don't have this model in stock anymore and tried to up-sell me a more expensive one. Given that it was listed as in stock when I ordered and is still listed as in stock now, this seems really dodgy!

Sane here. Got a text and email

Poor first experience from using RGB Direct. I've asked then to upgrade my delivery (once it's getting shipped) at the very least due to the hassle.

Been holding back cancelling and getting elsewhere to try and support them but not sure I'll return as a customer.

The problem for me is that communication has been really poor and they sold an item as in stock when the reality is that it was a pre-order.
Nothing to do with the current delays.

Yep, they’ve took my money, as in-stock but blamed LG for not delivering when promised! Not good to be honest!

Thank you for the prod. I would have likely cancelled prior to your comment.

The man I spoke to was very nice. I was able to pay the £51 difference and get the C1 along with the goodies originally promised. It should be with me Tuesday.

When I followed this link it had domestic and general as the warranty provider and they're the one's who do the burn in cover for JL so it's worth looking into further I think

But I couldn't work out if it was the free 5 year warranty you get fit registering or the additional £118 or something you pay for accidental damage which sounds like the burn in cover option on JL so it's a bit of a conundrum

Having had a quick look at the oleds. The protect plus 5 year accidental cover says it includes screen burn.

The LG 55C1 is only £80,which is not too bad for peace of mind.

I think D&G covers most of UK retailers warrantys.
