    Looks good for our little break near Skegness, has anyone taken the ride? How long does it take (we have a v little one with us).

    It’s about 30 miles north from Skegness, depending how close you were to Skegness to start with, if that makes sense.
    Not an overly long ride and there’s not a great deal to do away from the stations/platforms at either end of the line, can be fascinating if you’re into trains?
    the volunteers/staff have always been polite and helpful and talkative, have been a few times over the years and it improves every time we go.

    If you’re over this way, there is a heritage train set up in Skegness (well, ingoldmells) if you’re into trains/in the area, not sure of the running/opening times though and ludborough is a bigger operation.
    (the LCLR (Lincolnshire coast light railway) is based at the water leisure park, walls lane, ingoldmells and there’s normally people around on a Saturday or Wednesday even if they’re not running and you just wanna talk trains
