Worth noting that the Paris Olympics run from Fri, 26 Jul 2024 – Sun, 11 Aug 2024 in terms of trying to get accommodation for that period?

Also, the Tour de France ends in Paris the weekend before (i.e. July 21st).

I've been to France twice now. Both times the moment I opened my mouth in English, their smiles turned into a half frown... I Dno man 😔

Came here just to say this. I stopped buying stuff from mccafes and bigger chains where local French men are serving. Instead I Went to Indian/Turkish/Punjabi/Chinese restaurants and was served very well probably coz they are equally tired of this behaviour 😴

Never used this train. So have the chance to stand on your feet all of this time?

Does this work for tickets to Amsterdam?

not really, lead fares are mainly for Lille, Paris and Brussels return which have good availability including weekends for June to September dates

There is some very limited availability for London to Amsterdam or Rotterdam at £78 return direct at Eurostar site for early June dates, you can see via the pricing matrix

Good price, as whenever I've looked at the Eurostar it's been £300 and I've been able to get flights for a third of the price. (edited)

All I ever see are prices in the 200s, where are you guys finding these prices?

you would first cross check prices directly on Eurostar looking at the low cost finder eurostar.com/uk-…res

and then replicate those fares on Trainpal using the code

Does anyone know where to get discount Prices on the Tunnel, instead of the Eurostar? Looking mid August?

I use Tesco clubcard points to get Eurotunnel, never paid for it. If you're using Tesco clubcard login to your account and see how much vouchers you can use for Eurotunnel.

We took the train to Paris, partly to avoid the hassle of the airlines.

Our train back got cancelled because of a train manager strike in France. Luckily our insurance paid out, which helped with the cost of staying in Paris another night. Eurostar refused to pay anything under their policy, saying as the train wasn't due until the next day, they had given us notice!

The terminal at Gare du Nord the next day was chaos as well.

Unfortunately it is cheaper for me.and my kids to fly to Brussels from Manchester.
I wish it was even more affordable.

Tried the app - it was £40 more expensive, compared to Eurostar direct booking!

So much for the 7% discount!
