I wonder if the cheap alternatives really are equivalent?
Sure they may stick but for how long?

In my experience nothing really comes close to this for gluing plastic to plastic, plastic to metal, metal to metal and fingers to metal or plastic.

Definitely better than Gorilla Glue, and ironically I would choose Loctite if I had to glue a gorilla to something although I can't think of a use case scenario for that.

Afaik cheap superglue is just thinner - so, depending on your application you may not get a decent bond (so it won't hold as well).
Other than that, the basic chemistry of superglue is the same no matter how cheap or expensive.
I used cheap superglue to fix a broken glass lampshade over 10 years ago & the bond is just as good now as it was on day 1.
Once opened, Superglue (like most glue) will start to dry out - so over time the cheap stuff gets thicker (& the thick stuff becomes unusable).

Would this be suitable for a bathroom ceramic tile that has came loose? TY

Cold.....£3.79 for 50G Superglue at Screwfix...

Loctite brand name makes the same product very expensive...

That stuff is pretty thin, so not suitable for all applications - but once opened all superglue starts to dry out, so over time it gets thicker anyway !
