X6 5G is absolutely fine unless you're buying purely for gaming, had mine a few weeks now and recently updated too Android 14 HyperOS 1.0.8.0. with zero problems. Most of the problems I see on Reddit concern the Pro version which has the Mediatek chipset. On the Xiaomi website there's a £100 difference between them so it depends on how much discount you can get on each model.

Same, upgraded from an aging X3 Pro, I've seen no difference (other than the speed and increase in ram making it buttery smooth). Bought one for the wife too she loves it.

The case that comes with it is a bit rubbish, ended up getting gel case from eBay for £4 that has better coverage around the camera.

I'd say both, new android version, bigger screen, bigger battery but the mate has ip68, wireless charging, higher screen dpi, going by comments probably better camera.
