Save yourself the hassle of porting & service interruption for 1-3 days every 3 months and pay 9p more per month to have this 10GB package for 6 months via the moneysaving expert website:

Probably the UKs most inferior MVNO.

Definitely the one with the worst customer service. In that, they don't provide any.

Just signed up to Lyca. Do Lyca have access to all of the EE bands? Also 5G is very hit and miss on my pixel 7 when it's usually very stable on EE direct.
    Thislife79's avatar
No, Lyca don't have access to all the EE bands (some telecoms sites will explain which)...nor do they have access to WIFI calling or 4G/VoLTE for HD quality calls.

Hi anyone noticed difference in signal since they changed to EE is it better? I'm thinking about joining themThank you

It depends exactly where you live and will use it. Same for all networks.

Fifteen days it took for Lyca to reply to me about no service in my area.

Their reply was a complete pile of waffle about switching the phone on and off.

They also requested a long list of details to diagnose the problem.

I shredded the sim card and cancelled the plan. (edited)

Anyone know why my Lyca sims only show LTE and never anything else?

You need to manually add apn details

Ordered one for my tablet. Thanks.

I don't care about porting numbers so I just get the cheapest available at the time for it.
Also my phone is Lebara, so I can compare Vodafone and EE network performance for my locations.

Note that EU roaming data allowance is 3GB and 4GB respectively for each plan.

Ideal for a holiday esim for when not at the hotel. Anyone know how much roaming data on the 20GB sim? Expecting 2GB or something like that.
    Lyca_Mobile_CS's avatar
Dear Customer, please be informed that Roaming DATA CAP allowances are 3GB for the given plan. Please click on the terms and conditions to know more.

Lack of WiFi calling is a deal breaker for so many. A shame they don't do it.
    Thislife79's avatar
It would help tremendously with the frequently poor signal indoors on the network version of EE for MVNO's (not as good as EE as missing access to one of the frequencies).

On my last couple of weeks with them after 6 months. Not bad for 94p a month, just be prepared to have no signal for a lot of the day.

Does this support WiFi calling? (edited)

    No

Question. I've just ported out from Lebara to Lyca which went smoothly and removed the PayPal method from Lebara. Will that be enough to close the account or do I have to call?
    jujuzeez's avatar
yes. so far it's not linked to ur Lebara account. you're fine

I was in EU and Lyca roaming didn’t work reliably. Tried different settings but none helped.
    bebetositu's avatar
Me too, in Spain at the moment, the roaming was working but suddenly stopped , been told by Lyca there is a roaming data cap of 4gb in the T&Cs, I still have 11gb data left and can't be used. Lyca is very annoying, did not notice the cap was hidden in the small print.
