Speak for yourself. I do musical instrument repairs and flat heads are almost universal. Cross heads very rarely used. I'd consider these as a back up. I've used Draper stuff before, it tends to be OK, not fantastic but adequate if you use the right one for the job and don't try to use too much torque.

Dodge62

Trouble with that Xiaomi set is that that you'll never get at deeply recessed screws, because the bit and/or the holder will be larger than the recess. So if you need extra long blades (which is the point of the Draper set) then the Xiaomi kit is no substitute. Personally I'm tempted by this set but it's hardly in the same league price-wise.

montana78

Does xiaomi have the bits for macbook pro, iphone and other odd ones like wii and Xbox 360 controllers?

Simba92

I did a lot of repairing phones and electronics a few years back. And I can tell you know the Xiaomi Wiha set isn’t great for everyday use. The handle is trash and designed to look good but awful for precision or prolonged use. I still use it but as a spare set. I don’t have this set. But this looks a lot more ergonomic. Ph000 is Ph00 are the only ones that would probably get used though from this. Flat heads are a bit of a waste.

yeah totally, the high tourqe that an application for these type of tools require.....

My Xiaomi/Wiha set arrived this morning - and it definitely lives up to my expectations. Appears every bit as well made as my other Wiha kit so I'm confident it'll last unlike the bargain-basement copies. Well recommended for 13 quid.

saintsmoney

These have a lifetime guarantee from Homebase

OdhranC

Xiaomi seem to partner up with some many companies. I can't sometimes be confusing. Great to see Wiha had partnered with then. Seems a great price for Wiha precision screwdrivers

lilbeastie

So I'm kinda talking to myself here, but I think this is a better buy (assuming it's genuine, and you can wait for shipping): https://www.banggood.com/XIAOMI-Wiha-25-in-1-Screwdrivers-Kits-With-24pcs-S2-Steel-Screw-Bits-and-Aluminium-Alloy-Screwdriver-p-1187158.html?#jsReviewsWrap Wiha/Xiaomi set for a little over £13.

lilbeastie

actually i take that back! https://www.wiha.com/en/press-reports/detail/wiha-proud-of-co-branding-partnership-with-chinese-smartphone-manufacturer-xiaomi/

"Accuracy 4mm @ 10m = 1.2mm @ 3m

Dave

Cause this one is personalised.. if your name is Stanley? :/

canton76a

Accuracy 4mm at 10m but only 3m range! I found Stanley (non Fatmax) lasers just as bad as any non branded cheap chinese ones. Why would anyone buy this when you can get a proper self levelling one from Lidl for £25.

Bovrilontoast

The self leveling version is around £20 on Amazon and UK Tool Centre, perhaps worth the bit extra?

Just don't believe the reviews on the website. I have written some two and three star reviews for some of their products and guess what. They don't publish them. Give it a 5 star review and it gets published. Be careful what you buy and ignore the reviews.

I would they tend to have very good customer service and I reckon you'd get the difference back or charged the new price. I recently ordered Canterbury tracksuit pants in medium, they were to small on me. I applied for a return and refund but they said keep the tracksuit and they refunded new anyway. I spend hundreds on Amazon every year and their customer service is the reason why.

Dar22

Yeah that was the deal, it went cold but no idea why. Now I'm annoyed I didn't buy them myself since the batteries in my own still have packed up! No problem anyway, glad someone benefited from the deal! (y)

Dar22

Was that the deal I posted by any chance that went cold for some reason still unknown to me?

steveo42451

This isn't available at the Manchester store anymore

acj7744

It's more than enough for what you're likely to use it for. My Milwaukee is 135 Nm. It really kicks when it catches. I recommend using the handle to steady it with your other hand. If it doesn't come with one buy one. No one likes a broken wrist! If you are regularly drilling through masonry SDS drill will always be best.

Seems like most makes you get some good some poor, they do so many it's best to check the power ratings on each. I deal with them quite a lot and they've outdone some of my other more expensive brands, I have the xpro sander and it's brilliant, although not quite snap on.

HerWorseHalf

I've previously found the quality of Clarke air tools sometimes left a lot to be desired. For example an impact wrench I bought before I knew better makes an awful lot of noise but would struggle to twist a stick of liquorice! Can't comment on the X-Pro range as haven't tried them.

torroxcampo

I say do.. nothing wrong with getting a nice little set up for any future work..

Can also be done online but not so clear to what is on offer.
