Just don't believe the reviews on the website. I have written some two and three star reviews for some of their products and guess what. They don't publish them. Give it a 5 star review and it gets published. Be careful what you buy and ignore the reviews.

Good effort

I would they tend to have very good customer service and I reckon you'd get the difference back or charged the new price. I recently ordered Canterbury tracksuit pants in medium, they were to small on me. I applied for a return and refund but they said keep the tracksuit and they refunded new anyway. I spend hundreds on Amazon every year and their customer service is the reason why.

Yeah that was the deal, it went cold but no idea why. Now I'm annoyed I didn't buy them myself since the batteries in my own still have packed up! No problem anyway, glad someone benefited from the deal! (y)

Was that the deal I posted by any chance that went cold for some reason still unknown to me?

This isn't available at the Manchester store anymore

It's more than enough for what you're likely to use it for. My Milwaukee is 135 Nm. It really kicks when it catches. I recommend using the handle to steady it with your other hand. If it doesn't come with one buy one. No one likes a broken wrist! If you are regularly drilling through masonry SDS drill will always be best.

Seems like most makes you get some good some poor, they do so many it's best to check the power ratings on each. I deal with them quite a lot and they've outdone some of my other more expensive brands, I have the xpro sander and it's brilliant, although not quite snap on.

I've previously found the quality of Clarke air tools sometimes left a lot to be desired. For example an impact wrench I bought before I knew better makes an awful lot of noise but would struggle to twist a stick of liquorice! Can't comment on the X-Pro range as haven't tried them.

I say do.. nothing wrong with getting a nice little set up for any future work..

Can also be done online but not so clear to what is on offer.

I bought this bike a year back from amazon for just £120. Might be worth hanging around for this offer again. It is a fairly decent bike and does everything required to get into cycling. Worth a purchase if this is your first road bike. Otherwise avoid.

I spent £800 on a road bike as I was going to do 100+ mile, multi-day events. If you're doing just general riding, you will need a road bike, but £200-£300 is fine if you're not going to do that much. "You get what you pay for", so semi serious £800-1000 is all you need to spend. A bit more then casual, £400-600. But, there's SO many to choose from, read independent reviews, don't trust Amazon reviews, use the online bike mags.

OMG- this bike thing is a nightmare! I have started to go on road rides- 10miles, so not massive but it's a start, but I also go over fields with the kids, am I going to have to buy 2 bikes? Budget around £400- total not each. Any advise pls.

Decathlon. Probably a Rockrider for about £100 would suit your first bike in a while (assumption). Sturdy enough and they normally throw in a first free service after a few months. Plus the advantage of Decathlon is you can try them out in the shop and they hire staff who know about that sport into that department. Also nice one for getting into biking - but warning; you can become obsessed very quickly.

What's the right height for that frame size?

We have just had one delivered from modern stoves. We are really surprised how good the quality is, as is our workman, and it was cheaper than the above.

This is a good output one on ebay - it is brand new never used. Someone bought one that is too big, they are willing to swap for a smaller one or open to offers

you get smokeless fuel if you are. and you can burn wood

make sure you check if you are in a smoke control zone

Sorry markpj777 - its £163 in Tesco online. I won't vote it cold though.

personally i'd sooner buy the Apollo Fusion Road Bike from Halfords @ £199.99 - then use 10% off code to bring that down to £179.99 and pay the extra 1p to have it build up, free safety check and inspect the bike fully to ensure no transit damage. plus anyone under 6 foot, a 22½ frame is too big.

Awful, truely awful.

this might be one to avoid I think

Nilfisk Steam Cleaner £60 Off!! - £119.98 @ Machine Mart (Phone for availability)
Found 14th Jun 2012Found 14th Jun 2012
Great 4.2 bar steam cleaner at an excellent price I think.

Great deal and purchased! Been looking for a decent, reasonably priced steam cleaner. Having researched for a while netted out with either a Karcher or Polti (as Nilfisk were a bit too costly). Almost paid £200 for a Polti a few weeks ago but JL were out of stock. This has the same spec and £80 cheaper, seems a good deal.

lol ^

The Ewbank one has a really annoying lisp

I think this is expensive for what it is. There are similar ones (different brand) available for about £65. I bought a Ewbank one (comes with same attachments) for £35 late last year.

Worth a look at what Halfords have to offer. They always have deals on. If you look at the professional or the industrial range they are excellent quality. The professional range is the best value for money when they have a deal on.

I have the Snap-On version of this and it was around £700 so I'd say this was a bargain .... The HD stuff from machine Mart is pretty good. Heat added

OP you might want to add in the make and model and give cheapest price elsewhere plus some other example prices. When it's a niche product, a lot of members just see a big number for something they wouldn't normally buy and vote cold. A quick search suggested this is indeed a good price. Also, I'd avoid putting things like 'Save £££' in your title as it looks like some sort of advert and ruffles some feathers! Finally, is this just an 'in-store' deal cos I can't see a delivery option (if there is a delivery option, the cost needs to be added to the price).

Do you know anything about heavy duty toolboxes & how much they cost? You never get deals on proper ones so any saving is good.

Your joking right? or did you put one to many numbers when you entered the price?
