Commented on Home Bargains 15watt £5 one and said would sooner use 67watt charger than cook the battery. So stupid me had to find out, bought on impulse and after 10% of charge phone was warm that never noticed with charger, in the cupboard it goes.

I think qi2/magsafe is useful for things like car holders or bedside table holder for overnight charging, but I don't see the point of a standalone cable like this, am I missing something? Why would you use this instead of just a USBC cable? It's way more awkward and the phone gets hotter

One reason I can think of is if you fall asleep and accidentally yank the charging cable while it's plugged into the phone (done this a few times)
