I've just moved from the Q2 to the Q3. If you are interested in VR for the long haul then the Q3 is the way to go but if you are unsure, then the Q2 is well worth considering and then you can sell and upgrade at a future date (Q4?). The Q3 is a step up from the Q2 (snappier performance, better graphics etc) but it is incremental, not a huge step forward. Bear in mind that if you go for the Q3 you will also need a buy a new head strap and preferably one with a battery extender (£50-£80). The crappy supplied strap is uncomfortable for more than ten minutes and the Q3 battery life is worse than the Q2. (edited)

I’ve never tried, or followed VR development. However it does sound interesting.
Anyone know if this is a good setup for a newbie. I’m presuming the Quest 3 is much better technically but is it worth the substantial increase.
Although I’m willing to wait and save up for the Q3 if it is considerably better than the Q2.
    Thanks

I got a q3 q couple of months ago coming from q1 and the jump was HUGE, the delta between a q2 and q3 isn't so big. If you aren't fussed about mixed reality and can accept the shorter life cycle for support for the q2 then it's pretty affordable as an entry point.

I got my q3 from very using a 20% so paid about 380 for it.

I had the debate about which to go for an ended up q3 for the future proofing and now lots of apps have q3 updates which offer enhanced graphics.

If you are planning to use it paired with a pc rather than ad a standalone then you won't notice huge differences between q2 and 3 as the heavy lifting won't be done by the headset.

Bought one from John Lewis @£249 last week,  I put a price match claim through yesterday and they have just refunded £50. Very impressed with them and also for you posting, thanks.

Is it really useful apart from playing gaming? I mean watch 3d movies etc

Yesterday I Ordered this with £15 off JL rewards code for £184.99. I used Quidco with £15 bonus cashback but I fortunately it was tracked as 0. Any ideas guys?

As long as it tracked it should be ok and update later to the correct amount

I have Quest 2 for couple years now in it is a lot of fun! Does anyone know if it's possible to get a second and play a multiplayer game in one house, and if there are any fun games for 2 players?
