Milan is the most boring place i've ever visited. So this deal gets some heat from me.

It’s close to get to Venice and other places in Italy from Milan as well

I am currently in Milan after visiting Venice for 4 nights. The intercity rail from Venice to Milan is crazy cheap! (and only takes 2 hours) (edited)

Bergamo isn't Milan, but very nice to visit in its own right.
You could spend a good couple of days there without going anywhere near Milan. (edited)

Agreed, I think Bergamo's a lovely city. Flown there a few times for various sporting events in Milan & Monza. Some nice little bars, restaurants, cafes and a great elevated view of the city from La Citta Alta.

Trains in the region are fantastic and we went up to Lecco (on the south-eastern end of Lake Como) for the day last time we were over in late October a few years back. You could easily spend 3 or 4 days without touching Milan (which is vastly overrated IMO) by staying in Bergamo, Lecco, Como, Monza etc. Plenty of decent, cheap places to stay on Air BnB or Booking.com as well. Great walks, architecture and the Gelato over there is bloomin' lovely!

Lake como is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, especially villa monastero in Varenna. You can get a direct train from milan in under 1 hour. Not sure what weather is like this time of year though.

If you like Spas then QC termimilano is well worth a visit also

How do you change from paying in Euros to GBP?

When I pay using Revolut, it let me choose the currency

I used to fly from Milan to Bristol for work. The flight from Milan to Bristol was quicker and cheaper than the taxi from Bristol airport to my house

I wonder why tickets to Milan are always on the lower side. Did a day trip to Venice from Milan. Good trains and all good. I wouldn’t stay in Venice overnight.
