Should mention in title that it's barista oat milk - it's a key variant detail Vs other similar deals

Hi. I used to love oat milk as an alternative. But it caused a spike in my blood sugar levels.

Some have a staggeringly high sugar content. Aldi used to do a no added sugar version but no longer do it seems. Oatly do one but it isn’t always on offer here currently. The semi is a half way house though & that is on offer

Can the barista ones be kept in a cupboard?

Does anyone have first hand experience of comparing this barista to the oatly and moma versions?

I have used Minor Figures Barista verion and Oatly Barista version to steam milk for my espressos for about a year now. In my opinion, it steams just as well, if not better than Oatly and the taste is a bit better than Oatly too.

The only creamy oat milk for me out there now is Scotti Italian oat milk with 16% oats. It's not cheap and it's actually quite sweet because of how much oat is in it. The extra calories are worth it for the flavour in my opinion.

Minor Figures probably make the worst oat milk I've had (other than Plenish), but a barista variant for less than £1 is pretty rare. (edited)

Farmfoods usually better for oat milk, 59p

But is it long life? Usually they are in the fridge at Farmfoods.

haha yeah this is one of the reasons I started making milk at home with a machine (that and all the packaging). Cashew milk works a treat, haven't figured out decent oat milk yet though. Might need to add oil, but at least I can choose a healthy kind.

Can't we call it oat water?
    Hasn1244's avatar
Na but we can call it oily water

    How long life are they?

I had in cupboard for months without issue. Due to being tetra pak sealed I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted years. Terrible for environment, great for storage
