Morrisons Savers Lager - 17.5p per can instore @ Morrisons (Belle Vale, Liverpool)

I used to drink it to taper off hard drinking, I went from a 1/2 a litre of vodka per day habit to 6-8 cans of this a day. No matter how hard you try you will not get drunk but it will stop the shakes. By the time the you've finished the first can it's 0.8 units have already passed through your liver. Eventually you get tired of all the bathroom breaks and not getting drunk so 6-8 cans turns into 4 cans a day, 4 cans turns into 2 cans a day and before you know it you no longer have withdrawals and can start sobriety.

When chilled in the fridge overnight it's super refreshing. It's only 70 calories per can or something like that, so it won't make you as fat as other weak lagers.

It's a little embarrassing to buy. You will feel like a homeless. I used to go to the self checkout, bring one of those huge bags for life, bury 4 packs under a frozen pizza so when the young assistant came to age check they didn't see that I was buying 16 cans of Saver's lager.

Not only that but it's perfect for beer batter. It's super fizzy. Homemade beer battered onion rings and beer battered cod. Try it!
