Basically it will become law there on Jan 1st 2026 that you have to have a similar light instead of a warning triangle for if you break down. Crucially though, that light will have to connect to a public network to allow geolocation. As far as I can tell, none of these currently available lights can do that, so will be illegal.
Currently, you can still use a warning triangle, or one of the non connected lights providing it is an officially approved V16 light (this one seems to be as it has a printed LOCE code on it).
