    Breaker bar is better. I find garages/tyre shops likely to put the nuts/studs on with an air gun, far too tight.

    I keep a cheapo 1m long 3/4" drive breaker bar (with the right size socket) in the back of the van, does the job no bother.

    Yes, but a breaker bar doesn't double as a boomerang for a day out at the park with the kids.

    If you're a person of a lower weight than me you'll find a breaker bar better. My friend knows how to change a tyre but is 50kg dripping wet, was standing on the brace and jumping to no avail. Luckily somebody with more gravity stopped to crack the bolts and left her to it.

    Worth knowing if you want to rely on something like this to save you from a AA call or long wait for relative, stranger or friend to come.

    That being said the local tyre places put most nuts back on finger tight these days so maybe it's less of a problem now. (edited)
