I say this on most Vertuo deals but please bear in mind no third-party pods exist for these systems - you need to buy them direct or buy a refillable pod with your own ground coffee.

If you're wanting third-party pods to save or want a different brand, look for either a Tassimo, Dolce Gusto or the older Nespresso machines as they do still sell these.

This is where Nespresso will trap you - discount the machine in order to 'trap' you into spending a tonne in pods on their website.

The £45 off coffee is done as 3 x £15 on subs. If it was one chunk I'd probs have bitten. Pedantic i know

Possibly their worst machine, really noisy..I sent my back after a week and replaced it with the Nespresso Next machine .. lovely coffee though.

I've not found it that noisy - I did look at the Next but put off by all the failures

These Vertuo machines are a bit of a con. They lock you into having to buy your coffee directly from nespresso, because there's no third party pods and you can't buy vertuo pods at any supermarkets. Obviousy I only found this out after I'd got through my 50 free pods, which seemed like a bargain at the time.

Have a look on the new Temu site, lot's of Vertuo refillable pods available to try.

Don't do it, you'll be tied into this ecosystem until they retire it. Good coffee, but with so many other machines with compatible pods this one's just not worth picking up.

It's been this price for a little while, as I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Still a fantastic deal, though! I've been a happy Tassimo customer for years, but couldn't resist trying a Vertuo at this price. Must admit the coffee is far better than I expected - didn't realise you can order by cup size, with 150ml being a nice cupful and 230ml being a good mugful.

Time will tell if the novelty wears off once my supply of free and cheap of pods run out. Kept the Tassimo in reserve just in case...

I picked this one up as a stopgap due to my integrated bean to cup machine breaking and costing ££££££ to fix - I am really impressed with the quality of the coffee - exceeded my expectations and much better than a pod type machine I remember using on holiday a couple of years ago

I don't have kitchen space for +1 more gadget so for that reason I'm out. Sounds like a good deal for what it is though and I probably would go for it as I enjoy nice coffee. My guess though is that once the free pods ran out I might buy one or even two more then machine would sit there unused and eventually go to the dump.
