Can you put it in an enclosure for Xbox ?
    Alex_H's avatar
Yes but you'd need to remove the heatsink first.

    Yes

For this price I'd opt for the Kingston KC3000, no heatsink by default but IMO a better drive, with a 5 year warranty.

    Copied a 152GB Folder with 6,925 Files from a Samsung 1TB 980 Pro (PCIe 3.0)
    To
    Netac 2TB NV7000 1m 14s CPU > PCIe x8
    Samsung 2TB 990 Pro 1m 26s CPU > M.2 x4

    Possibly faster on x8.
I'll swap the Drives later to find out.

Wish I had bought more at £72 last Year.

i have this, failed after 10 months. Have to ship it to China for the exchange so just be mindful, has a 5 year warranty but you have to ship it.

I'm not into the technical aspects with SSDs, but I've got this one and had another NVME Netac for several years and they haven't let me down.

Can't say their RMA process because I've not had any issues with them.

TBF your gonna get failures with and branded SSD depends on the volume they sell, netac are a decent brand I'd rate them alongside crucial easily (edited)

Just wanted to write a few words on this. This is a variable BOM (Bill Of Materials, basically the parts manufacturer used to make the drive) drive from an OEM who is popular on many markets (including China and Brazil).

Initially the first couple of batches all were (1TB, 2TB and the 4TB versions) built using the Phison E18 controller with DRAM and using Micron B47R NAND.

These had quite positive reviews and understandable was popular at a lover price point compared to its close cousin, the Kingstone KC3000 which is very similar (amongst other SSDs) in terms of build, components etc.

And then, Netac started to swap around the controller on the 1TB and the 2TB models to the InnoGrit IG5236 and the NAND to SK Hynix or YMTC CDT1B when those became available at a very low price point in China (if anyone is interested, I can only recommend reading up on YMTC in relation to Apple who were planned to be a supplier prior to the USA/China ban).

All these reported issues are for these InnoGrit IG5236 versions, including the below:
    reddit.com/r/b…ty/
    theoverclockingpage.com/202…ac/
    amazon.co.uk/pro…r=1

This issue only appears to affect the 1TB and 2TB InnoGrit IG5236 versions and NOT the 4TB as those only came with the Phison E18 + Micron B47R NAND (reviews on Amazon also correlate to this).

My advice is to buy either the 4TB version (I did) or make sure that your data is backed up. I cannot guarantee that the new FWs fixed the issue on the 1TB and 2TB versions with the InnoGrit controller.
