Be as well sticking the extra few quid to it and getting the disc version

Fully agree with this. Physical games on PS5 are generally cheaper than digital games and have potential trade-in value when you have finished with them too. The digital console should be a lot cheaper than it is to reflect that rather than just £30 or so cheaper as RRP.

And this one gets mega heat in comparison. The voting system on here needs scrapped

If you've waited this long for a PS5 you may aswell wait it a few more months till the Pro is confirmed.

That was my thinking but after the specs leaked for the PS5 Pro the consensus is that the Pro still won't be able to achieve 4K/60, so what exactly is the selling point for it considering it'll cost a lot more than a PS5 Slim? A bump in graphical fidelity? Ray tracing? More storage space?

I was holding off until Sony saw sense and released a matte black console, but with the PS5 Slim available for £389 via Amazon I finally bit the bullet. I sold my PS4 Pro for £150 so I can enjoy games like Spider-Man 2, GoW Ragnarok and FF7 Rebirth now rather than wait another eight months for what will likely be, given Sony's track record with over-promising and under-delivering, an unnecessary/underwhelming Pro model. For anyone who disagrees with that I suggest you take a look at the box for the Slim where Sony explicitly tout "8K" and "4K/120", neither of which are remotely possible with any AAA games and won't be for YEARS in the console world because even most top-end PCs would struggle with 4K/120 and they're orders of magnitude more powerful than current consoles.

Until the PS5 Pro is released and reviews are out I would suggest people just grab a Slim as cheaply as they can and put the money saved towards some games or, if they have a PC, buying the PC ports of Sony exclusives when they're out (if the ports are done well of course).
