Love the look of these and I accept that they are serious gaming PCs in a tiny chassis - but £600 is a decent chunk of change!

As someone who has owned both the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, which will perform similarly to the Legion Go, impartially the take away is:

Steam Deck - Better optimisation, Better UI, Better Battery Life, Less fuss, lower cost of entry.

Windows Handhelds: Less Restrictions, Higher performance (sometimes), more versatile, larger game library.

As I said, each to their own, and it completely depends on what you value. You are making yourself look quite childish by mocking people and calling an extremely popular console "dead" or a "dud" , I didn't realise console wars was still a thing 😔

Hopefully this comment helps someone serious about knowing the difference. But for most people the steam deck is the better buy. With that said, I kept my ROG Ally due to a few games I play not being Linux compatible yet. (edited)

This seems like a good take on comparison of the Lenovo Go and Rog Ally.
Lenovo Legion Go vs Asus ROG Ally: Which handheld should you buy? (trustedreviews.com)

Steam Deck being retro tech now and the budget offering, is just about cost really, so mostly never part of the conversation these days as the primary reason to buy that would be its cheap, the used market is just flooded with Decks right now, so that might be the best way to acquire?
