    Overall I would agree. The main thing with the older model is it looks different (better to some people than the slim) and it comes with a vertical stand. Probably is more appealing to collector type people now that may wanna grab this model before it's discontinued. The slim is probably a better choice for most people.

    Looks a very standard price to me. If you’re a Prime customer you can get the Slim for the same price. That said, I’ve heard it’s very noisy and hotter compared to the OG, with the only benefits being a bit more hard drive space and 2 USB C ports on the front verses 1 C and 1 type A. I’d go OG (but that said I have neither)! (edited)

    My Slim is noisy. It makes a slight high pitched whirring that actually lessens if the console is stood vertically. I think it might be the disc drive.
