Stupidly hard game, yet lots of fun!

Great game, got stuck on the stupid water tunnel level :(

Spotted it at the eshop earlier today. Had it for the vita a while ago and it was quite fun, so buying it again soon. Heat!

How as no one heard of this game!? Wow

I can't see them changing their mind tbh, don't tend to tell ppl what they want to hear and take no actual action...

About cross play? They say they're "looking into it". Hopefully they change their stance as media/devs press the issue.

It's fun with mates

The game is absolute pants. I don't get the craze!

Russian eshop 174 rub works out about £2.11 using revolut. On sale until the 26th

Had 20 russian gold points (20 rub) paid £1.88 using revolut :)

I swapped region and paid for the game and swapped back. No issues. Money still I'm my wallet and gold coins still in my account. Game works perfect. You can't use one regions credit In another. Use PayPal it's simple. Any credit earned in one region says in that region. Just incase anyone was wondering.

Downloaded actually a very decent game

do you pay through website or the switch itself?

Yes it does :)

Err you don't need two accounts...

Thanks OP! Happy to buy from UK store personally, for the sake of a couple of quid, prefer having it all on one account and don't want two account sign in options always popping up. Was already looking at this so having confirmation it is awesome (plus has free updates cominy) is great news.

Thanks Just purchased from the russia e shop, guessed the options as changed text to russian but got through :) Cheers

I just bought it from the Russian eshop for £2. Go to the link below and change your country to Russia. Then sign into the eshop on your Switch. Find the game and buy it with Paypal (you should already have a Paypal account tied to the eshop if you want to do this). Then change your country back to UK. I’ve literally just done this now and even though I’ve set my account back to UK it’s still downloading the game from the Russian server.

I've been pestering them for years for an easy mode, lol. I'm gonna get it on Switch and have a dabble. I'm sure my complete lack of skill will make any balancing improvements completely moot.

Thanks for the information kind sir! To confirm though, I can use Paypal or CC to make the purchase right? And the games will stay linked to the account, regardless of terriortory? It would be a hassle to have to keep changing regions to re-download games.

Go to and change your region to Norway (y)

Purchased with gold points so I got it for free. It’s only 65p on the Norwegian store. I buy all my digital games from there (y)

If you're going to try it, this price or less is the best to do it as you won't feel like you wasted too much money if you end up hating it. It's a very basic turn based strategy rogue like where you level the plague doctor by sacrificing the people you find while trying to balance in those you need as helpers. Can be quite buggy, needs some serious polish but this price I didn't feel too cheated as the art style is neat.

I just 'bought' it. Now I feel disgusting for having a F2P IAP-infested game on my Switch. Is there a way I can remove this from my accout, do you know? Btw, ai have the game on Steam and quite enjoyed it, but IAPs can GTF!

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux digital £24.49 / Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse £17.49 on Nintendo 3DS eShop
23/07/2018Expires on 23/07/2018Found 12th JulFound 12th Jul
Released 17/05/2018 30% off. Offer until: 23/07/2018 Also Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse £17.49 50% off.

Strange Journey is a really underrated game. I played it on the old DS. Recommended but just be prepared for some LONG cut scenes

For anyone who loves a Dungeon Crawler in the Etrian Odyssey / Wizardry / Bards Tale style then I'd highly recommend Strange Journey. It's actually got a half decent plot (for a blobber!) and solid combat difficulty throughout. One of my favourite games on the 2DS and this version is supposed to be a good improvement.

Cheers for the heads up, picked this one up. So many decent indie games coming out for the Switch at the moment, make me happy to have one.

unless you buy on a weekend in that case you are better off with a fee free credit card or one of the other app cards

Hmmm I have the signature edition preordered but it is overly pricey. Not sure it's worth the extra £25 over this, might have to try cancel.

I'm the same but I have to say the switch is my preferred way to play too :)

You don't need to use it, I think you can use any payment method that works. I just use revolut as no fees and they give the best exchange rate giving you the cheapest possible price :)

It was from a private seller who modded the Joycon himself with a d-pad - they do appear on Ebay quite often - I was luckily to get it for £40 - as they can go for a lot more. The one that @Richyroo is talking about is the Hori one, but it has some features taken away and is Japan only-

I dont think its out until the end of the month, and then I think you would have to import it. Not sure when/if it comes out in this country., perhaps someone else can advise.

Can you link please to the d-pad joycon?

Both, good game & good price.

I've only played about an hour of it so it's hard to sum it up completely. It's got a few flaws but I like the atmosphere. For a couple of quid I'd say it's worth a try if you like pixel art horror-influenced games.

Yooka-Laylee digital eShop editon for Switch @ Nintendo eShop £26.24
Found 5th JulFound 5th Jul
The cheapest way to get the digital version, Yooka-Laylee is a great platform adventure in the style of the classic N64 Rare games of old.

To be fair, according to online comparisons, the Switch version seems to be best overall. The port was handled by the original development team, unlike the Xbox and PS4 conversions I’d be happy to pay £20 so might look at downloading from the South African eShop - not sure £26 is such a good deal.

I already find the camera nauseating so that sounds horrendous lol.

Still if you have the choice

Going to try for the limited run games physical. Not sure when pre orders are for it

Looks like Paypal isn't an option for SA eshop. I've also had a bit of a search and it seems that you can't buy giftcards for that currency either, so it will have to be a card payment.

Have you gotten Revolut to work on the US EShop? I have tried but it always blocks it. So far I have only had Revolut work on European stores and South Africa.

£8 is a fair price. It’s not a AAA game by any stretch but an okay way to kill 2-3 hours. Last few levels are annoying for the random death sequences and I’m still now sure how I managed to kill the final boss. But better value at that price than a movie ticket.

You’d have to pay me that much to play this tripe.

I did. It’s a decent enough game for the price. At rrp possibly not.

This is meant to be one of the better ones. Especially on the switch. For the price it’s good value as next years will just be a slight update again.

This game is out right terrible! I paid £20 for it with the World Cup update and it’s a quick cash grab. Wait for next year guys.

I've waited this long, I can wait longer. This is especially wise with my current backlog and finances. (pirate)

No you will have to check your specific card details. Most cards are usually about 3% so in this case an extra 25p quite a few banks offer fee free cards so it's worth looking into for when you go on holiday but just for this game it's not worth the hassle

Thanks, bargain, bought it

wouldn't buy this version because in russia sonic plays you.

That's the way I've always done it :) You can exchange the exact amount of foreign currency you need

My guess is it would be best to exchange gbp to the currency of the eshop you are using, just to be sure. Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure, I think it sorts itself out, but maybe it doesn't do it for all currencies just the prominent ones. I have always exchanged the exact amount I needed at the time

When using your revolut card, do you need to transfer the required gbp amount (say £9.50 for this deal to have a little extra) into South African Rand, and then use the card as normal on the south African eshop? Or do you just load your revolut card with gbp, pay with it, and it sorts itself out currency wise?
