Non-stop return flights from London Gatwick to Boston e.g. 30th April - 7th May via jetblue

This is the scandal that no one is talking about.

We fly every year to Spain and for about 2 decades we have flown exclusively with Easyjet to Barcelona because they always came up the cheapest and we never had an issue with them. However since covid (and maybe the fuel price hike), their prices have spiked up dramatically, and once you factor in the bag for each person for each flight, it just gets ludicrously expensive. This year it came up cheaper for us to fly with TUI instead (and that's actually to an airport that's even closer to our destination, and it's cheaper to rent cars there, and the flight times were better as well). And thank god we did, because our gate was right next to an Easyjet one and we saw them turn away many passengers, telling them they had over-booked and there weren't enough seats left on the flight for them. I think the days of cheap flights are over. Now it's a case of comparing each airline and just trying to shave a few extra quid while also assessing whether its worth the slim saving if it means going for a more unreliable airline.
