We did this last year, on a tour of Harrogate and York.

Bought this Nov last year, intended to use it before expiry (end of Dec). But Groupon/hotel extended it till end of March. I must ring and book it as its Feb to tomorrow. The free bird of prey tickets, has good reviews and is within walking distance of the hotel. It is closed Tuesdays so be aware when booking your 2 night stay.
I did read on the hotel reviews, that one woman bought tickets for her and hubby, plus daughter and her hubby. When they went to book and add the daughters two children, and pay the extra £15/child. The hotel wouldn't let them, so they had to pay for extra two night ticket for the two children (Just letting you know).
I always check trip adviser reviews on Groupon Hotel deals, as we have stayed many times thru them and always enjoyed our stays. But have seen some bad reviews on some, and avoid them like the plague. (edited)

The bird of prey part of this is amazing. I got to hold a terrifyingly large bird of prey that I'm pretty sure could have ended me at will. Magnificent. The afternoon tea was average (still enjoyed it and for the price was pleasantly surprised) but the service was good. I think this would be really cool for anyone who's not done it already.

I've stayed here a few times using this deal and it works for me, fairly basic rooms and buffet style breakfast, but it's a good base to explore from and the bird of prey centre is great.
