If you’re spending that kind of money, spend a bit more and get the Gozney.

I saw this post of Facebook a few weeks back and grabbed a screenshot because I thought it summed things up quite well.

I have an ooni and I've always thought Gozney is the better model. If they are the same price then 100% go for the Gozney. However when I got mine Gozney wanted £500 for the Roccbox and I purchased the ooni koda for £180. I'm more than happy with my Koda as it does produce amazing tasting pizzas and I saved over £300.

They are still charging pandemic prices for these.

Personally I think they will follow the pricing curve of bikes, UK holidays and camping gear. All stuff that people thought the needed but really didn't when the government was handing out free cash!

I paid £222 for the Uuni 3 nearly 6 years ago.
So £299 for the equivalent Ooni Fyra with a better design and more refined oven plus a bunch of accessories and pellets doesn't seen unreasonable at all. In fact, pretty sure the Uuni 3 back in 2017 with the same accessories would end up costing more than £300

I'm a huge fan of the made at home pizza revolution - I've fully been drawn into dough making, cold proofing, rising times, different flour types etc.

However, not in a month of Sundays are these worth £300. I have a £30 BBQ topper which gets to around 300degrees and is fantastic, for a tenth of the price.

Like mentioned, these COVID prices need to crash!

Gotta disagree, see my comment above. 6 years ago the Uuni 3 was around this ballpark with these accessories.
Since then Ooni has got massive, look at the range of ovens they now sell, all more expensive than this base model, all the while with direct competitors in Gozney and more recently a whole host of cheaper knock-offs and BBQ toppers.
If the Ooni ovens weren't worth the price they would have gone the way of most Kickstarter projects, but instead Ooni the company is now valued somewhere in the £100's of millions.

And here's one from an Ooni - completely different style of pizza. The pizza above looks like the base is crunchy which is fine if that's what you want, but the only way to get a neapolitan style like below is to bake at 400+c which is not possible in a conventional oven.

I really don’t know enough about the wood pellet version. I bought the Koda gas 12 a few years back for around £250, sure it’s just over £300 these days and after talking to a few of my mates who have multi-fuel versions they all seem to prefer the gas version. Mainly because the time it takes to hit the high temperatures. But I can’t give a fair comparison as I’ve only used gas.

Nice price with all those accessories, but I would really recommend that anyone considering one of these looks for the gas Koda or the dual-fuel Karu. "Wood-fired" sounds lovely but you can barely taste the difference in reality, and running on gas makes it such a trivial process.... it's so much better when you can just concentrate on the pizza-making and not worry at all about managing the oven. And by being easier it makes it more likely you'll use it more often and justify the initial outlay.

If you're asking, then probably not. I bake pizza every week and I'm very satisfied with the results of my home oven. Certainly took a while to master, but keeping kit to a minimum is a big deal with limited space & time.

I have the gas one and yes it's a lot of money just to cook pizzas but well worth it. I wouldn't bother with multi fuel. The pizzas are so different to shop ones more work but well worth it. 60 seconds to cook a pizza. I payed £300 for the koda 12 inch .
