Just so people are aware... it's a phone from March2020 gsmarena.com/opp…php which came with Android 10 installed & has since been updated to Android 13 last Dec androidupdatetracker.com/p/o…-x2 - this was probably the end(?) of all updates, unless someone who has it can confirm the latest security patch date.

    From the gsmreview conclusion... gsmarena.com/opp…php
    Pros
    • Premium design and build
    • Possibly the best display on the market
    • Class-leading charge times, battery life you can live with
    • Excellent thermal management, exemplary sustained performance
    • Versatile camera setup for daylight images and video
    Cons
    • IP54 rating not up to the competitors' standard, no protection against submersion
    • No wireless charging
    • Low-light image quality leaves a lot to be desired
    • The ultra wide cam's 16:9 native aspect is more a nuisance than a feature

4.5/5 review here - A refined take on the OnePlus 8 Pro formula techradar.com/rev…iew (edited)

Helpful information. Mobile phones invariably get cheaper as they get old even if sold as BNIB because of uncertainty of OS and security updates. Main reason why I am making this comment is to say I wish I could be as accurate as you in my research on HUKD

Its a great phone. Plenty of power. It has 12 gb of ram and 256 storage. There is no 8gb 128 version i the UK. Unfortunattely android 13 is its last update. Currently its on color os 13.1 may security build. You can find it a lot cheaper around ebay, used for around a £100. I know this is new, but still. Its a premium device with great cameras, ceramic back and 120hz screen. Cheers

Thanks for the info, good to hear back from someone who owns one
I have a P30 Pro from March2019, but due to the Google ban it is still stuck on Android 10 (EMUI 12 makes it a little more bearable) & security patch Dec2022. It has had a few more security patches since apparently huaweicentral.com/hua…24/, but haven't received them yet as via O2 who may be dragging their feet over them. (edited)

Me too. Well nearly 2 years. I dropped it the other day and I've only just realised it cracked the back . I paid £265ish then so £235 seems expensive now.

I got this for about a year now as my second phone. Excellent screen. With 65w charger, 10 to 90% in just over 20 mins.
    Fluid and just flies.
    Camera is not great though.
But then I only paid £100 from Giffgaff so I am not too fussed.
Over £200, you need to think.

I have this phone. It's great but I've had it for nearly 2 years and paid £270ish back then. I really wouldn't expect to pay the same (nearly) 2 years down the line.

Good phone. I've had mine since September 2021, paying off the £300 cost at £12.50 a month via Paypal! The camera isn't quite up to the quality of my old P20 Pro, but I've been impressed with the whole package (and 65w charging is awesome). Battery life could be better, but adequate for me. Not sure I'd be paying more than a couple of hundred now, as updates will be limited from here onwards.

I'm sort of hoping that I can upgrade in a year or so to something like a Find X5 - providing I only need to pay £250 or so!

    Hi
Just read your comments, I upgraded from a p20 pro to a Oppo find x5 pro and I just returned it , great phone but the camera lets it down compared to the pro , super charging and fast os but it’s all about the camera for me , an example was I would take a snap across my tiny garden and when you zoomed in it , it wasn’t a patch on the other unfortunately
