I have one of these that looks almost indistinguishable. I never screwed it in and it’s been up for maybe two years now. I’ve used it multiple times a day almost every day whilst I was between 68-78kg. I’d imagine that there probably are marks on the door frame but it doesn’t seem to be doing damage to the structural integrity. Maybe I’ve been extraordinarily lucky but it’s never felt like it’s coming down and I’m hanging on it for minutes at a time borderline every day.

Incidentally, whether or not you choose this pull up bar, I recommend getting one in general, particularly if like me you suffered from lower back pain. Since I started using it I haven’t had back pain once. I don’t know if it’s something to do with pull-ups stretching my spine (assuming that’s even possible) or if doing so many every day helped me to develop muscles that support my lower back but it’s been something like a miracle cure for me. They’re so cheap that I always think it’s worth a go, especially if you’re working from home now and just want something simple to do whilst in meetings that doesn’t involve getting down on the floor. You're right about pulling the spine, pull ups and dead hangs decompress your spine, alleviating lower back pain.

It really is the ultimate and safest exercise for your back

Pull up bar. Thanks OP, but reviews are terrible. You screw it in the wall, it is not extendable, poor screws, bends not solid.

I've had this type of bar for many years. It can hold itself in place without needing the screws if you're careful. Just don't jump up at the bar. Gently hang off it then begin your set.
It will mark the surface with the black rubber and potentially shift the paintwork so not ideal if you're renting.

I'm tempted I would love to look like Bruce Lee again

The thing is if you've never worked out properly you may not be strong enough to do a pull-up.

Makes holes in your doorframe. Always fall off. See many videos on YouTube.

Good luck though and well done for trying who ever uses these.

Better off getting a proper pull-up bar that you drill into a wall if you own your house.

Probably more useful to support an undermount sink, if there are no supports under it, only adhesive.

The only problem is not bat, but quality is good of your door frame.

Most likely is developer special, made from recycled egg boxes, installed on a caulk and maybe a few screws

Yes well a similar one that uses the same idea used it for years no problem but when I moved house it didn't fit the door frame so won't fit every door.

Have one it's seems fine so far, I used my own 40mm wood screws seems to be solid enough.

He he reminds me when my brother had one at our folks place, most of his mates would hit their head on it. My Mum used to use it for the ironed shirts lol.

My bro took to using door frames instead with thumb over finger rock climber grip.

How he never pulled an architrave off is some kind of miracle lol
