heat! I bought an orient automatic a couple of years ago - lovely finish and its been 100% reliable. They are an offshoot of Seiko Epson. No idea if they can charge you import duties from Japan as there is a £135 price point from hmrc that this exceeds with shipping.

Sorry, this still confuses me, is it £135 on the item price I can import, I e. it doesn't make any difference about the shipping cost? Or is limit for the total spend i.e. £125 for the watch plus say £10 for shipping cost (=£135)?

Any reccs on somewhere that will service/repair an Orient watch? I got one about 10 years ago and have had a screw come out of the dial. Honestly no idea what to do with it since it was an import.

Can you explain what you mean and maybe post pictures? Properly servicing your typical Automatic Orient would mean spending more than the watches value. However, removing the back and movement c/w dial and hands to retrieve a rogue screw is a different prospect.
