Frustratingly, though I applied online on the 31st of March, I kept getting an error message.

So, I phoned Peloton, was kept on the line to Peloton in the US for 50 minutes, eating up my phone credit, before someone answered, then got cut off at their end, though in that time of talking I did say why I was phoning.

I had several back and forth emails with the person, who seemed unable to understand that yes, you can use any spin bike with the Peloton app, doesn't have to be a Peloton bike, you can add cadence and speed sensors to your spin bike, and a heart monitor, if you need those metrics. But after a lot of back and forth about that, which had nothing to do with my phoning them in the first place, me always being polite and concise, it wasn't until around a week later they said, could I send screenshots of the application/error message? By that time, I had long since closed that tab, so, no, I couldn't give screenshots.

I tried pointing out that the sole reason for my phone call was to get help with the application form throwing up an unspecified error message but no, they wouldn't honour the by now expired deal without screenshots. Such a huge waste of time.

I try not leave purely negative reviews if there is some good to speak of and will say, they are always enthusiastic, polite and friendly in their communications. I'm sorry to have missed the promotion, the current 30 day one, at the time of writing, obviously isn't quite so appealing, especially as Apple and others have similar promotions.
